Traditional Greek Cooking Class @ Lefkada Micro Farm

Traditional Greek Cooking Class @ Lefkada Micro Farm

Our cooking class starts with a welcoming morning coffee and tea. We start the fire in the wood burning oven and we begin to knead our dough. We then walk around Lefkada Micro Farm to harvest vegetables for our lunch and learn how our food grows. Get to know our trees, our vegetables and our animals. By the time we get back to the kitchen the oven is already hot and ready to bake our loaves. We prepare the vegetables for the Briam (roasted mixed vegetables) and place it in the oven. By the time the main dish is cooked we’ve already prepared the Greek salad and Tzatziki using the freshest vegetables, goat cheese and traditional sheep yoghurt from small local dairies. Finally, we sit together in our open air kitchen and enjoy what we’ve prepared.. An opportunity to take a break from the blue of our beautiful island and go green – enjoy the peaceful Greek countryside and off the tourist beaten beaches. Interact with fellow visitors and create a nutritious and delicious lunch together. Harvest organic vegetables of the highest quality and learn to prepare the iconic Greek dishes we all love. Fulfil the dream of being a Farm-to-Table Chef! And best of all, take these skills and recipes back home with you.

It was a very nice experience! I highly recommend it. They will make you feel at home. From the beginning, the captain explained to us that the weather was not good for doing this route. It would definitely be better if someone chooses it during the summer months. The program was indeed modified as stated. The captain was willing to talk to people and cheerful. It had nice music! But most importantly he told us that we can travel for free the next time as some routes did not take place. I definitely recommend it!!!

We loved this trip especially because it is run by a family business which you can sense throughout the whole day. The Captain and his son are very knowledgeable about the boat, the islands, the culture and history. Loved to hear their passion about the past and future of the islands. Excellent food- and a lot of fun!

We took Greek cousins on the tour also and they loved the souvlaki and had a great time too. The crew was informative and made it fun. The crew member grilling 🏆 It is a fabulous cruise for the price. The Greek cousins had been on cruise tours before and said this was the best ever Thank you!
