Day 1: Colombo-Sinharaja-udawalawe-Yala Meet and greet by your guide and drive in a luxury vehicle to Sinharaja rainforest. After about 2 hours drive, start your jungle trek with our nature guide. Our nature guide will take you on a 3 hours jungle trek, allowing you to witness and learn about hundreds of tropical fauna and flora living in the forest. After the rainforest tour, drive to the next highlight of thde ay, Udawalawe national park. You will make a brief rest at Udawalawe before starting the next event, Udawalawe safari. Set off on the safari of Udawalawe in a 4-wheel drive jeep. Udawalawe is one of the best places to large number of wild elephnats, crocodiles, buffaloes, Jackals and many other wildanimals. Later drive to Tissamharama/Yala for dinner and overnight stay. Day 2: Yala-Mirissa-Galle-Colombo Early morning leave for a Yala nationa park safafari on a 4-wheel drive jeep. During the trip, you will touch the most scenic part of the hill country blue train journey and you will pass a tea plantation, patches of forest, vegetable plots, and green-capped mountains, isolated villages.. With a tumultuous history dating back several centuries, the city’s strategic location made it a hub for trade by sea and subsequently a landing point for the island’s colonial rulers. A fort was built to ensure the protection and preservation of the city of the Portuguese in the early 16th Century and then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century. Originally the fort was an earthen structure with palisades, a rampart, three bastions, and a moat surrounding it. Under the control of the Dutch, they built impregnable fortifications with coral and granite stones and the Fort resembled a small laid-out walled town with a rectangular grid pattern of streets full of low houses with gables and verandas. Turtle conservation centre. The five species of marine turtles nesting in Sri Lanka include the Green Turtle, the Leatherback, the Hawksbill, the Loggerhead, and Olive Ridley. Established to protect turtles that nest in Sri Lankan beaches from extinction, the marine turtle hatcheries are operated by the Wildlife Protection Society of Sri Lanka and rely on volunteers to help with their conservation project. It is a staggering array of flora and fauna which places it among the top biodiversity in the world. Over 130 birds species are found here including many of the 33 species endemic to Sri Lanka.
