You take part in the city servant's simple evening meal: Fettbemmen (vegetarian if required) with fresh bread, herbs and a local clear 40% herbal liqueur (vegan anyway). Listen to the stories from old Erfurt about the rebellious student Martin L., who didn't miss a trick, the axe-wielding apostle Boniface, puffed beans, the council arithmetician Adam Ries and the jester Eulenspiegel, the "eaten mayor" or Doctor Faust: in the dark of the night you will experience how he conjured up ghosts... "We go deeper into the night, deeper into the city... The man with the feather on his hat, the halberd and the lantern seems to become part of the town, here the figure of the night watchman merges, as it were, with the wonderful stage set. He narrates, but here it is the city itself that narrates, the silence and the deepening darkness... It is as if the story itself speaks from the darkness, as if it tells what no guide can tell: the mood, the atmosphere... This night confirms my conviction: This is one of the most beautiful German cities of all... What people are saying about Erfurt

Overall rating

We received a lot of information that would otherwise have to be researched extensively. In (more than) the planned two hours we didn't walk far, but we learned a lot of information about Erfurt and its history. It was very nice, but unfortunately it was too cold and windy, which had nothing to do with the tour.

The two-hour tour through Erfurt gave me a good insight into the history of Erfurt. The guide (a teacher by profession) was able to answer additional questions from the group and overall left a competent and friendly impression.

It was one of the best and most entertaining city tours I have ever done. Our guide was great! It was a lot of fun. Thanks again to him :-) I will recommend it. The price-performance ratio is excellent.

Everything was easy to find and there was a lot to see. There were also a few puzzles. Great!

Very very interesting and definitely recommendable
