Tick off those last couple of birds that have been eluding your bird list and enjoy seeing the hippo’s and crocodiles that make this dam their home. We are passionate about nature and preserving the few untouched pieces that remain in South Africa. We aim to offer everyone the opportunity to experience the beauty that the Lowveld has to offer. Kruger Park Scheduled Full day Safari Drive from Hoedspruit

Your full-day (eight to nine-hour) safari drive into the Kruger National Park will begin before sunrise, with pickup from any hotel or address in the vicinity of Hoedspruit in one of our open safari vehicles, giving you a higher vantage point and a perfect panoramic view of the animals. Your guide will use their professional skills and knowledge to assist you in looking for and finding the park's most famous animals, as well as explaining some natural phenomena. Stopping at various lookout points, waterholes, and rivers will increase your chances of seeing as much of the park's fauna and flora as well as the spectacular scenery of various areas of the park. You will have lunch at one of the rest camps, where you can stretch your legs, do some souvenir shopping and take in the surrounds. To make the best of the experience, you should wear comfortable clothing in neutral colours to blend in with the natural surroundings and bring along sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the African sun. And don’t forget your camera! All that remains then in making it a never-to-forget-experience, is to follow your guide's instructions, keep a safe distance from the animals and refrain from feeding or teasing them, in order not to disrupt the natural balance of this magnificent ecosystem. i You will be picked up from your specified location in or near Hoedspruit between 05:30 and 06:00 to enter the Kruger National Park at Orpen Gate, geared and ready for a safe and respectful wildlife viewing experience. During the morning drive you will explore the diverse regions near Orpen, known for its savannah grasslands and abundant wildlife – hopefully including some nocturnal animals and big cats. During the following mid-morning game drive you will visit several more waterholes to find more sightings until you stop for lunch (for your own account) at a rest camp from about 13:00 to 14:00 All the Kruger rest camps offer a mix of local and international cuisines to be relished. After lunch, you will continue on an afternoon game drive until about 15h00 to make your way back to Orpen Gate to exit the park. Guests will depart from a designated collection point in Hoedspruit. (If guests would like to be collected directly from their accommodation, they are requested to discuss this option with the Matumi Team prior to the safari) The Big 5 Afternoon Safari will have an estimated duration of 3.5 to 4 hours. Our guides will take you on a fantastic journey through the Big 5 wilderness. Guests will be driving in open safari vehicles and will have the chance to encounter Africa’s incredible animals up close. Guides do make use of designated radios to share animal and bird sightings with each other (this increases the chances of sightings for guests). During the safari, our guides will stop for sundowner drinks and some light snacks. At these stops, guests can take a break from sitting in the vehicles. After your incredible safari, guests will return to the same designated place where the safari first departed from. 5 Morning Safari will have an estimated duration of 3.5 to 4 hours. Our guides will take you on a fantastic journey through the Big 5 wilderness. Guests will be driving in open safari vehicles and will have the chance to encounter Africa’s incredible animals up close. DAY 1: Pick up with a shuttle bus at 7am from the bus terminal at O.R Tambo airport in Johannesburg or from one of the listed hotels (please ensure that you are at the pick up point at least 20 minutes prior to departure). A 6-hour drive to the central area of KNP, HOEDSPRUIT, has a breakfast stop and short ‘leg stretch’ stop en route. Once you arrive in Hoedspruit for a lunch stop, you will be met by one of our guides and transferred to our camp nearby. (Pickups at Hoedspruit airport near our camp also available) After you have settled in we will depart at 4pm for a private reserve open vehicle sunset safari (includes sundowner snacks and drink). We return to camp around 7.30pm. Time to freshen up or sit around the campfire before dinner is served around 8pm. Your guide will brief you on the schedule for the next day. (Meals in transit at own cost, dinner included) DAY 2: We start the day with a 7.30am breakfast. At 8.30am we depart for Moholoholo Rehabilitation centre for a 2 hour tour that focuses on conservation issues, poaching and helping wild animals in distress. (A wide variety of animals are cared for, and are viewed on the tour). At 12pm we enjoy a lunch stop. At 1pm you will join a boat cruise for 1,5 hours, that meanders between magnificent views of the Blyde River Canyon, and possibly see hippo's, crocodiles, primates, various antelope and bird species.. We return to camp at 4pm, where you have time to enjoy the camp surroundings or the swimming pool. Time to freshen up or sit around the campfire. Dinner served around 8pm. (Lunch at own cost, breakfast and dinner included) DAY 3: We depart at 5.30am for Orpen gate (40-minute drive), in an open safari vehicle. Quick breakfast after entering Orpen gate. We spend the entire day in KNP. Rest stops and lunch stop will provide resting time between the game drives in search of the amazing wildlife and landscapes KNP has to offer. We return to camp between 5pm & 6pm, depending on our sightings in the park. Time to freshen up or sit around the campfire before dinner is served around 8pm. Your guide will brief you on the schedule for the next day. (Lunch in Kruger Park at own cost, breakfast and dinner included) DAY 4: At 7am we enjoy a leisurely 1,5 hour guided nature walk on the camp reserve. This walk focuses mostly on the small wonders of nature, tracks and signs and birding. Large mammals such as Zebra, Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck, Nyala, Primates, Warthogs and more can be seen. 9.30am Breakfast We depart for Hoedspruit where we meet your shuttle bus at 11am for the Johannesburg return trip. Arrive back at O.R Tambo airport between 4 and 5pm. (Meals in transit at own cost, breakfast included). (Drop offs at Hoedspruit airport near our camp also available) Swimming pool/Free wifi area. Many of the animals at Moholoholo have either been injured, abandoned, or poisoned and require professional care. While some animals can be rehabilitated and released into the wild, there are some that cannot and so Moholoholo also offers a permanent home for these creatures. Institutions like Moholoholo give wildlife a second chance and give visitors a unique perspective on the challenges these animals face in today’s world. Moholoholo strives to educate visitors about conservation, and it is an experience that will be remembered forever. Guests will be collected at the set departure time and travel directly to the centre. Once the tour is completed, guests will be returned to the same collection point.

Whether it’s the crisp morning air during our pickup or the serene moments in Graskop, you will feel genuinely connected to the journey. Natural Wonders Along The Route - God's Window Continuing along the Panorama Route we arrive at God's Window, a majestic viewpoint perched on the Drakensberg escarpment. Be awestruck by the breathtaking vistas of the Lowveld landscape, stretching out as far as the eye can see. Gaze out at the stunning scenery, featuring lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and deep ravines, creating an unforgettable visual experience. - Berlin Falls We continue our journey to Berlin Falls, a spot that makes us feel like we’re part of nature’s rhythm. Standing near these falls, we listen to the water echoing over rocks and bask in the cool mist. - Lisbon Falls Lisbon Falls gives you another chance to reconnect with the outdoors. Here, we take a slow pace, carefully enjoying the sound of water as it crashes down.

This was a 5 star experience from start to finish. The experience, the drivers, the host, the place, were all fantastic! Special mention to Lloyd who runs the business, he makes sure all goes well and makes lovely dinners, too. Bongani, Mike and David were amazing drivers/tourguides. Would book again when i come back. And oh forgot to mention, managed to spot all of the Big5 🦏🐆🐃🐘🦁!

Best safari ever! We had an amazing day. Keegan was our guide and he was the best! So funny, friendly, much knowledge, great driver and very good at spotting animals. He made it great. Also everything was taken care of, pick up, coffee, water. We could really just sit back and enjoy the great wildlife and amazing views. Would defintely recommend!
