Your driver will pick you up in central Cape Town with a shared bus and drop you at the V&A Waterfront, not far from the Robben Island Museum, where the ferry to the island departs from. Only after receiving your ticket from the local operator, make your way to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island. The ferry trip lasts about 45 minutes: at your arrival you will first have a bus tour of the island and then you will be given the opportunity to visit the prison and the cell where Nelson Mandela was kept for 18 of his 27 prison years. Learn about the dramatic history of South Africa through the voice of a former prisoner. After the tour you will get a return boat to Cape Town and you will be dropped off at the V&A Waterfront. Here you will be free to return to your accommodation independently or continue touring the beautiful city.
Well I was expecting to see Mandela’s prison to be much more different from others prison but seen it was just more like others only the bucket in the prison makes it different from others I want to see his books he read during his time in the prison if there is any or his signatures or his picture in his room and his name writing outside his cell entrance his cote writing on the wall so many things to talk about him this will makes it more lively that’s only the thing I can talk about thank you .
After a short explanation, you and your pilot will take off from a mountain slope under a canopy that resembles a parachute. Once inflated overhead, you will take just a few steps or a short run to take off from the gentle slope, the wind will catch the canopy and you will be airborne. In the air, complete control over direction and speed gives your pilot the freedom to soar ridges, rise on warm currents of air and cover distance. The tour providers have a proven safety record from day one, a credit to company procedures. Each season starts with brand new equipment and well-maintained throughout the year. All pilots are internationally recognized Tandem Flight Instructors. Each passenger is briefed and issued with a helmet. All pilots carry complete reserve and communication systems and weather conditions are carefully assessed before you are taken up and again on take off. You will be ...

Depart Cape Town by coach and head directly to the Franschhoek valley to join the Franschhoek hop-on hop-off wine tram and bus. The Franschhoek Wine Tram offers a choice of two hop-on hop-off lines (Orange or Purple) to choose from, operating in opposite directions. Each route visits eight wine estates showcasing a separate part of the Franschhoek Valley, including Noble Hill, Babylonstoren, Backsberg, Vrede & Lust, Plaisir de Merle, Allee Bleue, Boschendal, and Solms Delta. Realistically, you will be able to visit 5-6 estates in one day. Enjoy transportation by a combination of tram and tram-buses around a loop. Each stop is at a different wine estate, allowing you to hop on and hop off at any of the estates. The tram or tram-buses pass each stop once an hour, so you can explore at your convenience to move from one estate to the next. Each of the lines has a wide selection of wine es...

Je mets 5 étoiles pour Benjamin notre guide qui a vraiment été incroyable ! Super guide, super road trip, super safari ! je recommende le tour
Depending on the wind, the trip is either a sail across Table Bay towards Milnerton Lighthouse and back to the Waterfront in a southeast wind (summer wind) or heading North East towards to Robben Island in a northwestern wind (winter wind). The skippers pick the most comfortable course, normally a beam reach. And if you don’t know what a beam reach is, the cheerful crew members are happy to help you learn about sailing. When it is not possible to sail comfortably and safely in the direction we need to proceed then we will use the Engine. Variation to cruise (due to weather) For all the vessels, when the seas are running too high or the wind is unpleasantly strong, instead of heading into Table Bay the destination is the Cape Town Harbor for a harbor day cruise or a harbor lights cruise. This safety feature is a perfect alternative, offering magical views of the harbor, Cape Town and ...

South Africa is known worldwide for making crowd-pleasing and award-winning wines. This half-day Winelands tour will take you to the cradle of this beautiful wine region. On the tour your guide will share with you the story of how the South African wine industry came to be. You will learn how the foundation was set by protestant refugees from France. They brought with them finely tuned and centuries old grape growing and winemaking practices. Applying these skills with immediate success in the newly established village of Stellenbosch they ultimately transformed the region into the centre of the present-day South African wine industry. You will begin your morning or afternoon tour with complimentary pick-up from your Cape Town hotel before being taken to Stellenbosch Wine Estate. There you will do a wine tasting, as well as a wine and cheese tasting. After, you will be taken on a guid...
We had a great time with Edward on this tasting tour. We visited two excellent wineries and samples 10 different wines. Pick up was on time and Edward provided great information and insights. Highly recommended.
Explore District Six, where 60,000 inhabitants were forcibly removed during the 1970s by the apartheid regime. Drive to Langa and learn the history of the oldest township at sites like the Old Pass Office and the monument to Robert Sobukwe. Learn about life during apartheid on a walking tour of the hostels and shacks. Visit a shebeen (pub) and try some homemade beer. See a traditional healer in action, and then drive through the Bonteheuwel township, reserved for the "colored" community during the days of apartheid. Hear about the division of people and its impact within communities today. See the Gugulethu 7 Memorial to the members of an anti-apartheid group killed by the South African Police in 1986, and the memorial to the American student Amy Biehl, murdered by PAC supporters in 1993. Afterwards, get dropped off at the V&A Waterfront to take your ferry to Robben Island.
This trip was fantastic. The guide was very knowledgeable, the transport was on time and well organised. The trip followed Covid guidelines. Our ferry crossing had to be rescheduled due to bad weather but the company dealt with this quickly and efficiently to ensure we were able to transfer our tickets to a different day. I would highly recommend this trip.
Departing from the jetty outside the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront, the Waterfront Harbour Cruise puts Cape Town’s bustling harbour in the spotlight. Expect to see key attractions including icons of maritime history as well as epic views of the city’s natural landscape. Highlights include the SAS Somerset, the only remaining boom defence vessel in the world, and the southern hemisphere’s largest synchro-lift and only drawbridge, the Bascule Bridge. The cruise also includes views of Table Mountain, the Nelson Mandela Gateway, Chavonnes Battery Museum and the well-known Clock Tower. Of course, experiencing the bustling waterways of Cape Town from a boat is a highlight itself, and this cruise offers a perspective of the city that no other tour can offer.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Interesting and insightful. Learnt so much about the V&A Waterfront.
