See the magnificent interior that is dominated by a ceiling fresco over the nave by J. L. Kracker featuring scenes from the life of St. Nicholas, which is one of the biggest in Europe. Throughout the one-hour performance, you'll enjoy a number of classical works composed by European musical virtuosos including G. F. Handel, Johann Sebastian Bach; Antonio Vivaldi, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and others. You'll also have the opportunity to listen to several pieces by classical Czech musicians such as Antonín Dvořák, one of the country's most well-renowned composers. Enjoy a performance of The Nutcracker ballet at the recently refurbished Broadway Theatre in Prague. The two-act ballet was originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov with a score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The libretto is adapted from E.T.A. Hoffmann's story, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, by way of Alexander Dumas' adapted story The Nutcracker. The first performance of the ballet was held as a double premiere together with Tchaikovsky's last opera, Iolanta, in December 1892, at the Imperial Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia. Its name reflects the fact that one of its walls borders directly with the adjacent house. The church’s Romanesque base dates from the 12th century and the building was later modified in Gothic and Baroque styles. At one time the church was a lively center of the Utraquist Church and supported by wealthy burghers. The famous Baroque sculptor Ferdinand M. Brokoff is buried here.

Experience a performance of well-known classical music at the centuries-old Church of St. Martin in the Wall in Prague. Tickets are available in rows 1 to 4, or 5 to 9, for the 70-minute program. Soprano Libuse Moravcova Myratska is joined by violin and organ soloists to perform a varied program of well-loved classical compositions. Marie Dvorska and Filip Himmer join on violin, whilst Michelle Hradecka and Drahoslav Gric play the organ: • J. S. Bach: Toccata and Fugue in D minor  • J. J. Reconstructed in the Gothic style, the church offers excellent acoustics and an historic setting to complement the festive occasion.

Hear world-renowned masterpieces of classical music at this year's Christmas Gala Concert at the Rudolfinum. Choose between premium floor or premium balcony seating, and marvel at the wonderful acoustics in the building wherever you sit. The concert starts off with “The Moldau River” by Bedřich Smetana, named after the river right beside this concert hall, the largest in Prague. Following Smetana will be Gioachino Rossini with II. Barbiere di Sevilla Arie "Una voce poco fa". Then Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Andante in C K315 for flute and orchestra. Rounding out the first half of the Gala concert, enjoy La Traviata Concert Fantasy (Carmen) by Georges Bizet. After a short break, the concert continues with Antonin Dvořák's entire Symphony No.9 "From the New World". Listen to Barbora de Nunes-Cambraia as mezzo-soprano and the flute playing of Žofie Vokálková, who graduated in 1992 from the Prague Conservatory in the class of the master František Malotín. The conductor, Jan Šrámek, began conducting the Musici de Praga, a well-established orchestra with a long tradition, in 1996. Since then, he has performed frequently in the Dvorak Hall at the Rudolfinum in Prague and at other concert halls in the Czech Republic and abroad. Last but not least, the Symphony Orchestra of Prague Symphonists is one of the most famous symphonic orchestras in the Czech Republic and has a long international musical tradition.

Prestația interpreților la superlativ. Soprana ne-a încântat cu vocea ei, interpretarea la vioara excelenta, iar organizata i-a susținut pe ambii întregul concert. M-a impresionat in mod deosebit cu tehnica ei și cu modul cum stăpânea orga. Recomand sa ii ascultați dacă aveți ocazia.
