  • Rating: 5 “Molto buona!”

Reviewed by Clare from Maldon, United Kingdom on April 21st, 2014 Our tour guide was Charlotte who swept us through the cue and through security in less than 10 minutes. Judging by the cue, those who had not pre-purchased a ticket would have a very long wait indeed.

We spent time in the Courtyard learning about the Sistine Chapel. There really was nothing that Charlotte missed out. Her knowledge was amazing. Throughout the different rooms and courtyards, Charlotte spent time explaining the different features, sculptures, potteries, artworks, mosaics through to the ceiling masterpieces. I spent lots of time looking up, down and all around to take in as much as I possibly could. We had 15 minutes allocated in the Sistine Chapel. I saw one tourist frog-marched out of the door for taking a photo. Be warned! The tour culminated in St Peter's Basilica. Due to feeling unwell, I was unable to complete the last few minutes.

Mille grazie! Charlotte really was fantastic and I can highly recommend her to you. I learnt so much. This tour is a must-do!

  • Rating: 4 “Well organized”

Reviewed by Catarina from Vellmar, Germany on April 17th, 2014 A well organized tour that worked out fine even though it was a lot of people in the Vatican.
It felt a little long at the end.
Good guide who spoke good english.
Quite expensive concidering that the entrence fee (22Euros pp) is not included.

  • Rating: 5 “Time saving , informative ... overall...... Amazing.”

Reviewed by Vanessa Della from Jumeirah, UAE on April 14th, 2014 Amazing to jump the queue. Saves you so much time. I went quite early to the Vatican and there were literally over a thousand people in the queue.
The guide ( Alfredo) was very passionate about his history and definitely made the tour that much more interesting.
We went in at 0900 and finished around 1300hrs. This was great, it meant the rest of the day we had free time to explore and do whatever we wanted. I recommend this to everyone, young and old.
    Great experience.

  • Rating: 5 “Execellent, with knowledgeable and informative tour guide, Francesca.”

Reviewed by Paula from Milwaukee, United States on April 9th, 2014 We walked during a very busy tour time/day with school tour groups - but Francesca was most patient and led us in a very professional way through the crowds - and still always sharing information about everything around us.

  • Rating: 5 “excellent informative tour and great tour guide Leonora”

Reviewed by Jean from Wellingborough, United Kingdom on April 4th, 2014 So glad we booked this when we saw the queue. We just went straight in and were given priority in parts of the tour. Leonora was a brilliant guide she had so much information and was very helpful and happy to answer questions. The Vatican is a must to see as well as the Sistine Chapel but we found St Peter's Basillica the most awesome and interesting

  • Rating: 5 “Fantastic!”

Reviewed by Paul from edinburgh, United Kingdom on March 24th, 2014 The tour was fantastic all down to your guide "the tiger"! She was knowledgeable, interesting and made sure everyone in the group was included. She was very warm, kind and humorous. Many thanks

  • Rating: 5 “Brilliant, would definitely book a tour again!”

Reviewed by Julia from Whitstable, United Kingdom on March 23rd, 2014 Our tour guide known as 'Tiger' was very knowledgeable throughout the tour, and engaged the group well. She remembered all our names (24) which was very impressive! It was definitely worth booking a tour to skip the queues, but also so you had a focused guide through the three sites. Obviously you need to have several visits to take it all in as there is so much to see, and would definitely use this company again as very professional.

  • Rating: 5 “Gave meaning to the history of the Vatican”

Reviewed by MAUREEN from BOSTON, United Kingdom on March 20th, 2014 If I'd been just a visitor looking, I would have missed all the lovely anecdotes and cheeky bits which our guide told us. Her energetic and passionate reviews were engaging and 3 hours went too quickly. I've written down a lot of her information so that I'll always remember those little insights which made the visit so enjoyable.

  • Rating: 5 “A lot to see”

Reviewed by Victor from Sofia, Bulgaria on March 15th, 2014 The tour was really good. However, there is so much to see that 3 hours is just not enough and you have to rush a bit.

  • Rating: 4 “guide and skip the line : okay., audio equipment perfect!”

Reviewed by Ger from Gronsveld, Netherlands on March 15th, 2014 I have no adds.

  • Rating: 4 “Minimise the queuing and learn as you walk”

Reviewed by Chris from Warrington, United Kingdom on March 15th, 2014 You Will have to queue at the Vatican. 5m visitors a year packed into the smallest state in the world means there's a lot of people. Even at 9am in March the queue for the entrance was 200 plus yards long. In the heat of summer at peak season it has been known to go all around the walls and takes hours to get in. VERY worthwhile using Skip the Line to avoid all this. Even when inside you have to queue for security and it was bedlam. God Knows (excuse the pun) what it would be like in June. A Guide who can get you through all this is priceless but they really earn their corn once inside. 11, 000 rooms packed full of art and treasures. The explanation of the Sistine Chapel and the various galleries was informative , interesting and fun. There is simply too much to see in one visit. The only downside is that you haven't the time to stand and really look at the objects in the museum. St.. Peter's is, literally, awesome & you can spend the rest of the day inside once the tour is over

  • Rating: 5 “Loved it!!!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Torrijos, Spain on March 14th, 2014 The tour was perfect. The guide was well informed and well organized. I was very impressed with the tour and quite happy! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to see the Vatican!

  • Rating: 5 “Delivered like expected”

Reviewed by Christian from Bern, Switzerland on March 13th, 2014 This tour is a good balance between seeing everything and details. Not everything is done in detail, but that would anyway take too much time and should be explored individually.

  • Rating: 5 “Interesting,exciting and educational trip.”

Reviewed by Bojana from Kongsberg, Norway on March 9th, 2014 Interesting, exciting and educational trip, thanks to our tour guide.

  • Rating: 4 “We'll worth it”

Reviewed by Mary from Spital, United Kingdom on March 7th, 2014 Luckily we only had 5 in our group, so we had plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Our guide was excellent and we found the whole experience worth while. It seems that if you go on the afternoon tour on a Wednesday there does not seem so many people as the Vatican is not open in the mornings. Make sure you get there in plenty of time as it is always crowded in that area.

  • Rating: 5 “Makes a huge difference skipping the exhaustingly long queues !!”

Reviewed by Mary from Wotton under Edge, United Kingdom on March 6th, 2014 Our tour guide was a total master - with this level of tour you see more than on an entry ony ticket and although we paid a further €23 for the guide, he was worth every euro. We had a master class in art history, Rome and her invasions and emperors, and he spoke fluently and knowledgeably on everything from the sculptures to the paintings to the tapestries. We were brilliantly informed on all aspects of the Sistine chapel before we went in as the chapel is held in silence and therefore no talking. Huge amount of information to take in but it was covered with humour, passion and a real desire to communicate his knowledge.
