  • Rating: 5 “Great idea to see the sights in Rome.”

Reviewed by Sheonagh from Denny, United Kingdom on September 16, 2014 I've visited Rome twice in the last year and have both time booked the Hop-0n Hop-Off bus as it is an excellent way to see all the sights in Rome and also you get to hear a bit of the history of Rome at the same time.

  • Rating: 3 “Average service that could be improved!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Lisboa, Portugal on September 8, 2014 Hop-on Hop-off: 24 hours is actually from 9:00 to 19:00. So, 22 euros per person is a high price! Ear phones were poor, information was too little and most of the time we heard music. Wi-fi didn't work properly! Portuguese was not available, though it is the 5th most-spoken language in the world.

  • Rating: 5 “see Rome the easy way !”

Reviewed by Valerie from Les Touches de perigny, France on September 1, 2014 regular buses, easy to find pick up points, free wifi on bus, only slightly negative bit was that the commentary was often not in sinc with what we were seeing but great value for money

  • Rating: 2 “Not enough bussed servicing one of the busiest days of the year!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Mission Viejo, United States on July 15, 2014 On a very hot week in Rome (high 90+ degrees weather), we were expecting to be able to just hop on and hop off the bus. When we were at the Vatican, we had to await in line for like 3-4 buses because no one was getting off the bus! We we're told to stay in one queue in one side then told to move to another side then back to where we were and so the lines got skewed and people lost their place! It was very disorganized and a lot of people where complaining. There should have been enough buses to service the paying customers during the busy times so that we wouldn't have had to wait 50min! Moreover 3 out of the 4 buses we took didn't have wifi. We were
So frustrated I decided not to use the remaining days 2 and 3 of our ticket.

  • Rating: 5 “An excellent service , good value and well organised!”

Reviewed by Jane from Guildford, United Kingdom on July 10, 2014 We used the 48 hour sightseeing tour and were very pleased we did. The bus runs from 9-7 daily and we never had to wait for more than a few minutes. The stops ( Fermata) could be more clearly marked but you can find them marked on the route map you are given and each stop has the address by it in the red bubble.
When you approach the stop you can identify where to wait by the presence of a staff member in a red tabard/bib ( red for the red bus) they are very helpful and alert you when the bus is approaching.
You will be approached constantly by touts for bus tours..We found that if you have your ticket in your hand as you near the stops you get less hassle as you can wave it at them! :-)
While you are travelling you receive some information through the head set you are given on boarding. We found this saved our legs as we walked a lot anyway.
I recommend booking this early in your trip as it orientates you well and allows you to see the major sights. Enjoy the ride, we did!

  • Rating: 2 “Couldn't find the first stop!”

Reviewed by Becky from Birmingham, United Kingdom on June 9, 2014 We really looked forward to this bus trip, however we spent at least a couple of hours walking all over the place looking for the bus stop to get on. We asked at least 4 different people who all sent us to different places. We did this in our last full day in Rome. So walking round searching for the bus stop wasn't really what we wanted to do. However once we found the stop and was able to get on, it was lovely being able to sit on the top and see some other sites whilst listening to the tour guide through ear iPhones that were provided.

  • Rating: 5 “Great value for money. Perfect way to get quick overview of the city.”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Fairhope, United States on October 14, 2013 Terrific method to "get oriented" to any destination. If it is available, we use the "on-off bus" service in every location we visit. The Rome offering was clean, safe, punctual and covered all the desirable points-of-interest. Their "freebie" map was the most readable and useful of all those we were carrying; used it for the entire holiday. Thanks for the offering.

  • Rating: 2 “Over all, Average”

Reviewed by Brian from BOGNOR REGIS, United Kingdom on September 30, 2013 Poor info regarding collection of tickets. Over crowded buses. Poor route info prior to and on boarding (i.e. change of routes). Poor commentary sync re description and location of buildings.

  • Rating: 3 “Did the job but not enough buses for the numbers of passengers booked.”

Reviewed by Alan from Birmingham, United Kingdom on August 27, 2013 Did the job but be prepared to struggle during busy periods eg between 0900 and 1900 hrs. as there did not seem to be enough buses for the numbers of passengers booked. Similarly the frequency of buses was not as good as others providing the same type of service. A major problem was also experienced with the weekend service in as much as the map showing route of Line A was OK for weekday service but the instructions for passengers re route changes and bus stops was very poor, resulting in a lot more walking to get the bus at the next stop.

  • Rating: 4 “Quite the experience”

Reviewed by Fausto from Burlington, Canada on August 23, 2013 I find this tour well organized but some of the equipment is showing its age ,the ear pieces seam to be fine but as soon we insert them there is a lot of play and most annoying is the noise that comes out them ,it's like a radio station not well tuned.

  • Rating: 5 “Best way to see Rome in a day!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Stirling, United Kingdom on August 22, 2013 This was ideal for seeing Rome in a day (well more like a few hours!). Very glad I booked it.

  • Rating: 4 “Wow”

Reviewed by Angela from Surbiton, United Kingdom on August 16, 2013 Just returned from Rome and this 3 day ticket was great. Our only concern was the frequency of the bus tours - other operators seemed to have more buses arriving at stops whilst waiting for this one. May choose a different operator on our return just for this.

  • Rating: 5 “Don't miss it”

Reviewed by Marion from Dumbarton, United Kingdom on August 7, 2013 We booked the two day ticket. The first time we went the whole circuit, and then used it to hop on and off to go to the sites. Definately glad we got the two day, as we did not have to use any other transport to get around. The commentary on the bus, through individual earphone, was very good, and we certainly made good use of our two day ticket.
