“Lots of walking”
Reviewed by Elaine from Pensacola, United States on August 23rd, 2014 The drive was nice, and the bus stopped in Naples, where we walked for an hour into the city. We were all tired out by the time we got to Pompeii. Naples was beautiful, but should have been driven through for that part of the tour. Way too hot, and way too long a walk.
Reviewed by Kristian from Durham, United Kingdom on July 13th, 2014 From the moment we were picked up from our hotel to the moment we were dropped off the day was fantastic. Our guide was very informative and humorous. Your in pompeii for approx 2 hours which doesn't seem a long time however for a day trip you do see and experience a lot. I did hear an Australian family complaining the tour wasn't very good. However they were either very difficult to please or had not done any research. If your interested in history you will enjoy this even just for the drive there and the first glimpse of Mount Vasuvius absolutely priceless.
Reviewed by Christine from Gateshead, United Kingdom on June 2nd, 2014 The guides were great. They were friendly and informative. The whole trip was enjoyable from the bus ride to the dinner time meal.
“Fantastic trip to Naples and Pompeii, everything was taken cared!”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from London, United Kingdom on April 21st, 2014 We were little hesitant to book this tour because of the early starting time, but the tour operator made everything easy. Given us transport to & from to the starting point from hotel. This was a well organizes, informative, enjoyable tour everyone should do if you have a day to spare. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly, Falio (sorry I guess I got your name correct), Victoria & the driver three cheers for these guys. Recommend this trip for a family with kids or adults. Time in Naples was short but overall Well done!
“excellent trip for Pompeii”
Reviewed by Mason from Station Town, United Kingdom on July 23rd, 2013 would rather have only included the tour to Pompeii instead of trying to fit Naples in. Wasn't impressed with Naples and the tour was only for 40 mins in total so a complete waste of time which I could have spent at Pompeii.
Enjoyed the lunch provided in Pompeii, but again felt it was too long and wasted time I would have rather spent at Pompeii.
Pompeii site is awesome and must be seen, however this particular tour was shortened due to the trips to Naples and the Cameo factory which meant a large part of the site was not seen up close - ie the Amphitheatre and the exhibits... which I felt was a shame considering I had made a special effort to include it in my trip to Rome...
“We had a lot of fun; really recommend it.”
Reviewed by Michael from Berlin, Germany on May 2nd, 2013 The transfer to and from the hotel was really well-organized. The driver, the lunch and the way the pauses were scheduled were all very good. Vittorio, our local guide in Naples and Pompeii, was outstanding; very professional, informative and spoke excellent German. Our tour of Naples probably could have gone into greater depth.
“Best day tour ever!”

“Good basic tour, great guide, they should skip Naples”
Reviewed by Cindy from san diego, United States on February 28th, 2013 We took a full day bus trip from Rome to Naples and then on to Pompeii. The bus was comfortable and the guide was good. He gave the tour in four different languages, which was fine, I had no problems with that. We split into two groups in Naples so that our group only had two different languages. The stop in Naples was a little interesting, but so short and the time would have been better spent in Pompeii. The coral factory stop was only 15 minutes and I see some folks online complained, but it was no big deal. We just went outside and shopped the street vendors directly in front of the factory. The food for lunch was terrible and I would recommend just buying your lunch from the vendors outside the hotel where we stopped for lunch.
The tour of Pompeii was a couple of hours, which for my teenage children was just perfect. I could have wandered around the town all day, but this tour was great for them to give them an overview of the important sights there.
Easier than doing it alone
“Whoever wants to see Naples shouldn't take this bus to do it.”
Reviewed by Conny from Erding, Germany on June 29th, 2012 We were supposed to take a trip to Naples and Pompeii. Meeting point was at 7:20 am in front of the Carrani Office. Unfortunately they couldn't pick us up. Everything went well and we started right on time on an air-conditioned tour bus. In the bus there's a guide who provides some explanations of the areas that we're driven through. When we arrived in the Naples harbor a guide was brought to us, who led us through Naples and Pompeii. The tour was bilingual, in German and Spanish. The guide was very good and really put in a lot of effort. Unfortunately our stop in Naples only lasted 60 minutes. Taking into account the time it took to count the people in the group and having the commentary in two languages we effectively had 45 minutes in Naples. That's a joke and I can't claim to have been in Naples ;(. Then we went for lunch. It was average. My expectations for it weren't particularly high. The visit to Pompeii was very good. Summary: Whoever wants to see Naples shouldn't take this bu

“The absolute highlight of our Rome tour. Recommended.”
Reviewed by Stefanie from Oldenburg, Germany on November 21st, 2011 After a brief stay in Naples (45mins), we were soon heading towards Pompeii with the bus. Our guide spoke both English and great German. After Naples we had a great impression of both cities from the bus. After a delicious lunch, we went to the buried city. It was breathtaking and our guide showed us around it with so much passion. We were there for 3hrs. It was great, despite the relatively high prices. It was worth it! Tip: when the bus stops (tavern/supermarket) don't buy anything. Tourist rip-off! Just drink a cappucchino...
“great, but a bit expensive for what is offered”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Berlin, Germany on August 1st, 2011 115 per person is a lot for the fact that you mainly just sit in the bus. The food was ok, but drinks were not included. The guide was great and very friendly, which is not always the case. A very informative and humorous excursion. Again any time.

Reviewed by Michaela from Wien, Austria on August 25th, 2014 Tolle Organisation, Hotelabholung war einwandfrei, pünktlich, sehr freundlich, Wir wurden dann zum großen Bus zur Zentrale gefahren, auch dort war d. Organisation fein, Hinfahrt (3h inkl.

“Pompeji - top, Neapel - flop”
