Customer satisfaction lies at the heart of our business, which is why we try to equip our users with as much as information as possible so they can make informed decisions when booking tours. We use the following mechanisms to make the booking process as transparent as possible and to ensure the quality of tours on GetYourGuide.
We rely on our users to ensure the quality of tours offered on our website. Travelers may rate completed tours according to:
- Overall Impression: How was your overall impression of the tour?
- Service: Did the guide offer a pleasant and convenient service?
- Communication Skills: How good was the communication before, during and after the tour? Did the Guide have language difficulties?
- Expertise: How was the skill level of the guide? Did your guide act professionally?
- Reliability: Was the organization and guidance of the tour reliable? Was the tour carried out as you expected?
- Safety: Did you feel safe and secure at all times? Did the Guide master difficult situations as expected?
Users are also encouraged to leave a personal review text.
Our ProSEAL is awarded to Guides with an official certification or license.
Guides who have acquired a special qualification in a certain field may upload their official guide certificate or license indicating their special expertise. This can apply to certified mountain guides, government-recognized tour guides, professional diving instructors and many others. All users can view this certificate or license on the Guide's profile.
At GetYourGuide we keep an eye on everything that happens on the website. We continuosly try to implement new features to ensure greater safety and quality of tours for Travelers.
We also strongly rely on our users to report abuses or inappropriate tours. Users that spot inappropriate or illegal content may report abuses by labelling tours or user profiles with a red flag. Tours or Guides that are flagged will receive immediate attention.
In case of confirmed abuse or a violation of our rules and policies, we reserve the right to end tour listings, limit account privileges, suspend user accounts or refer users to law enforcement in the most severe cases.
It is on our strongest interest that our users feel safe and secure while booking tours on GetYourGuide.
