Spend the day in the breathtaking beauty of Croatia’s Dinaric Mountains on a 8-hour tour of Plitvice Lakes, and walk in forests of green. See the terraced lakes and waterfalls of crystal clear water flowing through a vast and lush environment.

Granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 1979, Plitvice is located roughly halfway between Zagreb and Zadar. Marked on old maps as the “Devil’s Garden,” the spectacular area consists of 16 interconnected terraced lakes, gushing over travertine rock covered in moss.

Departing from Zadar at 08:15, you will drive for about 1 hour and 45 minutes before reaching Plitvice National Park, home to diverse flora and fauna, including wild boar, wolves, and even bears!

Once at the national park, begin your 4-hour guided tour, visiting Upper and Lower lakes and enjoying the unspoiled nature of one of the most beautiful national parks in the world. Although you can’t swim in the protected lakes, your guide will show you the best places to explore and relax in this paradise of natural wonders.

Besides walking, sightseeing includes an electric boat ride on Kozjak lake. On your way back, eat lunch at a restaurant outside the national park (optional). Return to Zadar at around 18:00.

  • Rating: 4 “Great place to visit”

Reviewed by Sarah from Manchester, United Kingdom on October 19th, 2014 Definitely worth visiting Plitvice Lakes. Beware though it's pretty chilly over the other side of the hills! The guide was pretty good, although I found it quite difficult to hear what he was saying on the coach over the microphone, which reduced the impact of that bit of the tour. He was great when we got to the lakes though.

  • Rating: 4 “Very good trip”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from London, United Kingdom on September 13th, 2014 On the day we visited Plitvice it rained constantly. Despite this we had a good time and would recommend the trip to anyone. Everything ran punctually. The guide gave everyone free ponchos to help keep the rain off. The 10 euro breakfast and lunch deal is extremely good value (though don't bother if you're gluten-intolerant). I would've liked a bit more info about the park and its natural history, but I think the rain made talking to our group a little difficult and everyone wanted to get round more quickly. The park is clearly beautiful though I wish we'd been able to go on a nicer day!

  • Rating: 5 “Beautiful park”

Reviewed by Maria from Hanwell, United Kingdom on September 3rd, 2014 I loved the park. It was absolutely stunning. The tour guide was good but we felt a bit rushed and would have liked to stop more to enjoy the scenery. Also, it would have been useful to know that the climate is completely different because we were very cold and had to buy clothes in the gift shop....We even wondered if that was done on purpose to create revenue for the gift shop.

The dinner that was included was very good and we really enjoyed seeing the bears outside the restaurant!

  • Rating: 5 “Plitvice can't be missed if you're traveling to Croatia.”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Washington, United States on August 17th, 2014 Plitvice is beautiful and definitely worth the trip. This tour provides an adequate amount of time to see most of the park.

The guide was very friendly and knowledgable about Croatia. On the way back to Zadar you stop at a traditional Croatian restaurant for a nice meal.

This is a must see for all visitors to Croatia.

  • Rating: 5 “Like visiting Paradise, not to be missed.”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from sheffield, United Kingdom on August 13th, 2014 Wonderful experience, made even better due to heavy rainfall a few days previous (making the falls spectacular.) Even though I have health problems, I would not have missed the experience for the world. If you get the opportunity to visit...........take it

  • Rating: 4 “Great day trip, but don't expect a detailed guided tour”

Reviewed by Jenny from London, United Kingdom on July 31st, 2014 We had a fantastic day, the Plitvice Lakes were beautiful and have to be seen to be believed. It was very easy to make the booking, and the tour operator even dropped off our tickets at our apartment. We opted to pay extra for the breakfast & lunch package which was great value for money, and very nice. The guide was very friendly, however rather than walk us through the park and give us explanations etc he really just lead the way. This was fine for us, and the park was so busy it would have been tricky to talk as went along, however perhaps should be made clearer in the description. The guide stressed how important it was to stay together in a group, even saying how he'd left a memeber of the group behind the day before as they weren't at the coach at the designated time - so perhaps not the best tour if you want to take your time to see things. Overall though I would recommend, it was well organised and great value for money, even if slightly rushed.

  • Rating: 5 “A well planned day trip with excellent guide.”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Kingscliff, Australia on June 26th, 2014 Our guide Mario certainly made our trip a very pleasant day. He considered our comfort and safety and the Plitvice Lakes are a stunning piece of nature.

  • Rating: 5 “A great day out at an unbeatable price!”

Reviewed by Christopher from Dorchester, United Kingdom on June 13th, 2014 This trip was great value for money! At around half the price of any other trip, we were slightly hesitant to book, but everything worked out perfectly. We were picked up by the sea organ at 8.15 and reached the lakes about 2 hours later. There were around 20 people in our group and the tour guide was great, repeating everything in English and French (she knew more languages). We bought the breakfast/lunch pack at €10 each and that was unbelievable value - a large sandwich, a croissant, orange juice, water and an apple for breakfast, chicken, chips and salad for lunch. Entry to the park is additional at €15 per person. As the for the park itself..spectacular! Crystal clear waters, waterfalls and plenty of wildlife. This trip offered just about the right amount of time in the park..a while before our holiday we were considering staying a few days but the day trip was just right. I you're staying in zadar this day trip is highly recommended!!

  • Rating: 4 “Good way to visit Plitvice Lakes”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Hanau, Germany on August 20th, 2013 Nice bus trip, very friendly and helpful guide, knows a lot about the national park. As vegetarian I just wasn't happy with the included lunch but in Croatia (which is famous for its meat dishes) you have to except being served meat.

  • Rating: 4 “A most to do when you are in Kroatia!”

Reviewed by Femke from Waregem, Belgium on July 10th, 2013 The tour with the guide is a nice opportunity to explore Plitvice National Park. Lunch was good, friendly and interesting guide, beautiful untouched nature! Maybe the value for money could be better. Greetings from Belgium.
