Description:

Fly like the aces of yesteryear in some of the most important military aircraft in history. Whether you choose a thrilling aerobatic adventure or a smooth straight-and-level flight, your pilot will provide an unforgettable experience.

Great for first-time flyers, nostalgia buffs, modelers and pilots, this is a 100% hands-on experience. You take the controls in the front seat for your discovery flight and one of our very experienced instructors will teach you everything you want to learn about flying these beautiful pieces of history.

Get behind the controls of the premier fighter-trainer of WWII, the North American T-6 TEXAN. Over 70% of Allied pilots received their fighter training in these aircraft.

Imagine spending 15 minutes listening to the awesome sound of the Pratt Whitney engine! You have the choice of a 15-, 30- or 60-minute experience in this vintage aircraft.

15-Minute Flight: Includes piloting the “Pilot Maker” from the front seat where you will handle the controls yourself under the supervision of our experienced instructor. If you are interested in aerobatics, please choose either the 30-minute or 1 hour flight.

30-Minute Flight: Includes piloting the aircraft under the supervision of an experienced instructor, where you will learn loops, rolls and other air maneuvers, just like you see at the airshows!

1-Hour flight: Includes a full hour of flying with you at the controls under the guidance of an experienced instructor. This package includes an aerobatics ugrade that allows you the time to practice the loops, rolls and other maneuvers that you will learn during this flight.

What's Included:

• 15-, 30- or 60-minute flight (make selection at checkout)
• Professional experienced pilot instructor

What's Not Included:

• Hotel pickup and drop off
• Gratuities
• DVD and photos

Good to Know:

You must be at least 16 years old to participate in this experience.

If you are booking with another person a formation flight can also be accommodated.

Please wear comfortable, casual, sturdy soled, closed toe shoes. Sandals and flip flops are not permitted. They might fall off your feet during aerobatic maneuvers. A shirt with a collar will be more comfortable so the harness straps do not rub on your neck. Make sure you have a pair of sunglasses with you. Hats may be worn, if you so desire, under your headset.

Cancellation Policy: Your experience can be cancelled within 30 days of purchase, however a $30 fee applies. Cancellation within 7 days of your flight is non-refundable.

Reviewed by Pieter from Wijk bij duurstede, Netherlands on November 3, 2013 As a glider pilot it is great fun to fly with a Harvard.
Aerobatic rather easy when you do it in gliders.
Thank you for the nice flight

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from edinburgh, United Kingdom on July 14, 2013 So good. Just try it and you'll see. Highlight of my vacation, and the museum was really good and my family and wife were well looked after by the staff while I got to fly ! One of the most amazing experiences i have ever had. It's not a disney ride, you are in control and really get a feel for what flying a war plane is like. i'll never forget it.

  • Rating: 5 “unbelievable experience”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Utrecht, Netherlands on May 22, 2013 I could genuinely wax lyrical about this place! Buck was such an awesome flight instructor - i did the 1 hour upgrade, cos when youre in a world war II aeroplane, gotta be doing some moves! My manouevers werent exactly as smooth as buck's, but still! honestly, a once in a lifetime experience.

  • Rating: 5 “Best ride in town”

Reviewed by Stuart from WORTHING, United Kingdom on November 12, 2012 This was a really fantastic experience. I went for the formation flights with my son Dan. Our pilots Buck and Neil were very good and proffesional. They taught us how to perform a host of aerobatics .
A not to be missed excursion

  • Rating: 5 “History and excitement combined”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Jacksonville, United States on September 5, 2012 My dad treated me to this just after I graduated. As a history major and adrenaline junkie, flying in one of WWII's T-6 Texans made just about the ideal gift. All the staff were friendly and professional and my pilot was great fun to fly with. The only downside was that it wasn't long enough! They provide you with a DVD that came out surprisingly well, although to be honest, I don't think I need much help remembering! The museum is well worth checking out too.

  • Rating: 5 “I'm still buzzing!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Atlanta, United States on May 10, 2012 What a fantastic experience! Thank you so much to my pilot, Neil, who made me feel as calm as one possibly could flying upside down and looping the loop for the first time (still not very)! Absolutely unforgettable half-hour! Don't waste your money on Orlando's rollercoasters, this is is the real deal!
