Day 1
Today you're transferred from the airport to your villa or hotel in Opatija City Center. After a short break at your hotel, you'll join the other guests for a welcoming dinner where you can enjoy a lovely taste of what's to come, and get information about the adventure. You'll also receive a gift basket, compliments of Taste Dalmatia program.
Day 2
After breakfast, you'll meet your personal chef who introduces you to Istrian cooking techniques and shares important information about the region and its local traditions. Whether you're a seasoned veteran of the kitchen or just starting out, we'll start with the basics, and then move on to how the most popular meals are prepared. Lunch is made with your own hands, and afterwards the afternoon is yours to explore the city.
Day 3
After another filling breakfast, you'll head to the natural park of Risnjak. This incredible geotectonic area is filled with a complex structure of carbonate rocks and incredible limestone structures, sure to help you work up an appetite. This National Park belongs to the Dinaric Mountains, which are the natural midpoint of the Alps and Balkan mountains. Your guide will point out the most interesting sites before we return to Opatija, where dinner is served.
Day 4
Start your day with breakfast before heading to the city of Motovun. This ancient fort, 270m (885ft) above sea level dominates the hill overlooking the Mirna river valley. This ancient medieval town of Istria is home to a forest rich with truffles, mushrooms and the famous grapes of Istrian wines. Along the way, we'll visit wine-cellars and olive oil factories. But the most scrumptious part? The truffles, of course! Dinner tonight is served in a local restaurant.
Day 5
After breakfast you'll head to Rovinj, a city that sits high upon a hill and is a beautiful combination of ancient buildings and narrow streets, with particularly charming chimneys. The town itself was declared a cultural monument in 1963, and today, you'll enjoy a tasty local lunch before getting a tour of the villiage's old town. Dinner tonight is at your hotel.
Day 6
Breakfast is served early before we take a lovely day trip to Pula, arguably one of the most beautiful of all Croatian cities. Legends pour from this rugged coastline, and perhaps you'll even find that mythical Golden Fleece that brought so many Argonauts to their knees. Your guide will share this and many other exciting stories of antiquity, as you walk in the footsteps of the ancients. Ponder this over lunch with some delectable Istrian wine. In the evening, we head back to Roinj, for dinner.

The day is yours after breakfast. You will be transferred to the airport in time for your flights.
