I confirmed the tour the day before via email and we showed up at the bike rental location 15 minutes early as instructed. The bike place was a bit of a "hole in the wall" shop where the owner didnt know why we were there. I showed him the confirmation and he said that we had reserved with a company that uses his bikes. He then called someone who said someone was on their way. Fifteen minutes later, our guide never arrived so another man who was hanging out and didn't work for the tour outfit took over the tour. Very nice man and he worked hard, but we couldn't help but feel he was a stand-in. He said that he and the other tour group help each other out. The bikes were decent but mine couldn't shift to lower gears properly so the hills were a workout and my daughter's seat wouldn't lock in place so it turned all the time. A bit odd all around.
We enjoyed it! The only point I would change: the guide should wait for everybody (we were 6) before starting to explain the historical lines of each sites we've stopped. The tour is not for bike beginners. Better doing it in the morning.
Sergio was a great guide, he knew a lot of information and gave us breaks to take photos and explore. Highly recommend this activity, great for kids too, and it was nice to get some exercise.
Very happy was taken to all sights in Central Park with plenty of time to take pics
It was a friendly tour with a lot of photo stops and a good ride where you see all the spots in the Central Park
