Experience a unique evening of traditional north Indian dance followed by a delicious dinner in a local restaurant on this guided tour in New Delhi. Get to grips with an ancient religious practice, and enjoy the visual splendor and spectacle of north Indian and Kathak dance.

After being collected from your hotel and transported by air-conditioned vehicle, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. Your expert English-speaking guide will provide the history and facts behind these forms of dance.

Traditionally the stories in north Indian dances were of Radha and Krishna, in the Natwari style. However the Moghul invasion of North India had a serious impact on the dance. The dance was taken to Muslim courts and thus became more entertaining and less religious in content.

Kathak is a dance form with its origin in simple story telling, and is danced by both men and women. A Kathak dancer is not required strictly to adhere to fixed steps and stages in a fixed order. He or she can change the sequence of stages to suit his or her aptitude and style of dancing.

After watching the dance, head to a local restaurant to enjoy a sumptuous dinner of local cuisine, and reflect upon all you have seen this evening.
