You begin your trip with a short train ride as you ascend to the famous, quaint mountain resort of Engleberg. Then board a bus and take in the stunning scenery as you pass by a 12th Century Benedictine monastery. Once you arrive at Fuerenalp, you board an aerial cable car and continue to ascend into the midst of the snow-peaked mountains and glaciers towering around you.

After marveling at the truly awe-inspiring view that must be seen to believed, you begin your descent along the well- maintained Wanderweg path where all paths are safe and sign-posted. Listen to the clanging of the cowbells, admire the flowers, and breathe the fresh mountain air before you stop for lunch at an Alpine restaurant and enjoy the delicious local cuisine.

You then continue on a gentle, tree-lined path as you disappear into the forest and alongside a fantastical glacier stream. As you approach Engleberg once more, you will have the chance to visit the 12th Century monsatery and the quaint village you passed earlier in the day.
