See the highlights of London via 2 classic modes of transport on this half-day adventure. First, you will enjoy great views of Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, and the London Eye, as you meander through the historic streets on board a vintage double decker bus.

Continue to see St. Paul’s Cathedral, Sir Christopher Wren’s architectural masterpiece, where Admirals Nelson and Wellington are buried, and Princess Diana and Prince Charles got married. Continue to the Tower of London, built nearly 1,000 years ago during the reign of William the Conqueror.

Home to the Crown Jewels, the Tower is protected by the famous Beefeaters, and the imposing palace has been used as a fortress and a prison throughout its history. Your guide will take you to Traitors Gate, where prisoners entered the Tower for the last time.

Next, take a leisurely cruise along the River Thames, passing Shakespeare’s Globe, Cleopatra’s Needle, and London Bridge, before arriving at Westminster Pier. Rejoin the bus and head for Buckingham Palace. Make your way to the perfect spot to watch the world famous Changing of the Guard ceremony as the soldiers, dressed in their fabulous tunics and busbies, march to military music.

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Abbotsford, Australia on March 5th, 2013 This is a must do. We did this our first day in London, it not only showed you amazing places around London but also was great at getting to know the city and get your bearings.

  • Rating: 4 “timely way to capture the spirit of Londons history”

Reviewed by kathryn from blackpool, United Kingdom on October 8th, 2012 all very good - bus , places, information, balance of bus and walks, etc sometimes hard to hear guide but all else wonderful

  • Rating: 5 “The tour was great and the “handsome” guide was amazing!!!!!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Flawil, Switzerland on October 6th, 2012 The tour was amusing, our guide was just amazing!

  • Rating: 3 “Great introduction to London”

Reviewed by Manuela from Wien, Austria on September 25th, 2012 Booked from Vienna, all good. Sadly we couldn't find the meeting point. A really nice bus driver took us to the right place. We would have missed the bus otherwise. Unfortuantely the bus came too late. Otherwise the trip was lovely. The staff were really friendly too.

  • Rating: 3 “Too much unproductive time, mass treatment at the bus station”

Reviewed by Rosmarie from Herzogenbuchsee, Switzerland on September 17th, 2012 We left close to our hotel at 7.10 am, picked up people all over the city, 8.00 met at the bus terminal, waited around till 8.45. Massive crowd of too many buses. Despite having booked it, no headphones with german translations. We wouldn't book this tour again.

  • Rating: 5 “Highly recommended”

Reviewed by Andreas from Horn, Austria on August 26th, 2012 A highly recommended city tour of London, to get a “small overview” of the city.

  • Rating: 4 “Very good overview of London”

Reviewed by Tracy from Esko, United States on August 2nd, 2012 Great way to see the main sights of London. You can go back and take a closer look at the sights you are most interested in. Energetic, humorous, knowledgeable, guide

  • Rating: 4 “The tour was very interesting”

Reviewed by norma from Mörschwil, Switzerland on August 2nd, 2012 Everything went well, it was just a shame that it was in English, since we had booked the German version.

  • Rating: 4 “Perfect morning tour for getting to know London”

Reviewed by Roger from Rothrist, Switzerland on April 20th, 2012 Perfect short, exciting morning tour for getting to know London. You see the most important attractions and get a first impression of the city. Friendly, competent guide with useful tips regarding attractions! The pickup from the hotel went without a problem. The tour is great for first-timers in London who don't know the place too well!

  • Rating: 3 “Only for people with a good knowledge of English!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Hünenberg See, Switzerland on April 18th, 2012 The guide could only speak English. The headphones didn't always work and sometimes the commentary for the wrong place came through them. Only in English when visiting things outside the bus.

  • Rating: 5 “Great way of seeing the London highlights with fantastic tour guide.”

Reviewed by RODRIGA from SLOUGH, United Kingdom on April 2nd, 2012 The tour guide was excellent, especially during the changing of the guard.

  • Rating: 3 “Good, but could be better”

Reviewed by Miriam from Olten, Switzerland on March 6th, 2012 The stop at the Tower was too short to visit the tower, but too long to just take photos. Also the stop at Buckingham Palace just for photos was too long. So it'd be better to plan stops at 2 or 3 additional places. We went past some things too fast to take photos or have a proper look at what the guide was talking about.

  • Rating: 5 “An absolute must! All amazing!”

Reviewed by Markus from Deutschlandsberg, Austria on February 4th, 2012 Extremely friendly guide, very helpful, informative, most important sights covered, even lots of useful extra info, absolute must for anyone with not much time on their hands, perfectly organised! Totally recommend it!

  • Rating: 4 “The guide was 1st class, but the bus...”

Reviewed by Frank from Großrosseln, Germany on November 4th, 2011 The nice and funny gentleman who took us on the tour was brilliant. The tour was very informative and we managed to see all the attractions. The only flaw was that we'd booked the tour with a german audio guide, because my carer can't speak any english. The tattered old bus (which was nice to look at), had technical problems with the audio system, and didn't really transmit anything but noise. But otherwise the tour was great and comes highly recommended. All the other participants were also totally happy with it!

  • Rating: 5 “Lovely!”

Reviewed by Jürgen from Altenstadt / HÖCHST, Germany on October 23rd, 2011 Very well organised, great guide!

  • Rating: 3 “Guide explained things brilliantly, traffic was awful, meeting point poorly described”

Reviewed by Ruedi from Morschach, Switzerland on October 12th, 2011 The trip was well organised, the guide had very good knowledge and was easy to understand. We thought that we had booked it in German but the guide spoke English which required extra concentration.
Help with questions was given immediately. My 'average' is a bit too low but 'very good' would be too high, the rating should be somewhere in between.
    Best wishes

  • Rating: 3 “Fine, tour guide put in a lot of effort and was friendly!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Therwil, Switzerland on October 6th, 2011 Can recommend the tour if you speak good English!

  • Rating: 4 “Tour was good and varied”

Reviewed by Rita from Homburg, Switzerland on September 26th, 2011 The tour was good if you understand English. My daughter had understood some things when we got off the bus. But without translation it was too hard. Overall the tour was good though, you see lots of the city even if you only drive past some of them.

  • Rating: 5 “Great guide and great tour.”

Reviewed by Manuela from Grasbrunn-Neukeferloh, Germany on August 24th, 2011 Everything worked out wonderfully with the tickets. A pickup from our hotel was unfortunately not possible. But the service offered us more possible locations to be picked up from. The tour was very good and we had an awesome tour guide who got us the best spot for the mounting of the guard.

  • Rating: 4 “Our Tourguide was GREAT! very good tour!”

Reviewed by Glynis from Berikon, Switzerland on August 10th, 2011 We enjoyed a very interresting tour and our tour guide invested a lot of energy in showing us his city.
the loudspeakers on the bus were SCHRILL -hurt my ears ...need an overhaul.

  • Rating: 5 “Excellent”

Reviewed by Lukas from Kriens, Switzerland on May 11th, 2011 We were rebooked for the next day after we missed our bus due to a U-Bahn outage. This tour was in English only. We had a very nice tour guide. It didn't matter to me that it was in English, since it meant he was able to ad-lib and joke with the passengers

  • Rating: 3 Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Plymouth, United States on September 13th, 2010

The tour covered everything we wanted to see. It was windy and raining during the tour so our kids didn't sit upstairs on the bus as they had hoped to do.

The guide was very knowledgeable. Our kids probably would have enjoyed a more entertaining and/or humorous guide.

  • Rating: 3 “war nett, aber alles knapper als erwartet. Die Bootstour nur Alibi”

Reviewed by Helmut on May 21st, 2013 große Probleme, den Abfahrtsort zu finden.

Reviewed by Beatrice from Belp, Switzerland on December 16th, 2012 Im grossen und ganzen empfehlenswerte Tour. Schade, dass Audioguide nur im Bus funktioniert. Derjenige der nicht gut Englisch versteht, bekommt dadurch vieles nicht wirklich mit.

  • Rating: 2 “:-(”

Reviewed by vera from Münsingen, Switzerland on December 2nd, 2012 hat überhaupt nicht geklappt und der service vor ort war schlecht

  • Rating: 4 “Erfrischende Tour in jeder Hinsicht”

Reviewed by Gerhard from Büsingen, Switzerland on October 30th, 2012 Der Guide bot eine äusserst unterhaltsame Tour, gewürzt mit geballtem englischen Humor.
