“the routes are not well explained which made waste too much time.”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Sherman Oaks, United States on October 12, 2014 The routes repeat the same streets this makes the tours too boring and a big waste of time. Taking in consideration that the traffic in London city is very heavy you need to make things easier for the tourist. Having to print the voucher was another inconvenient tourists normally do not have printers and we have to pay for it. The iPad or cellular should be enough as it is for air tickets all over the world. I do believe that maybe these buses are only good in big cities my experience in Washington DC was fabolous but in London I ended up using the tube... I wasted so much time that I could not take advantage of the boat....

“Wonderful way to see london”
Reviewed by Michelle from Leeds, United Kingdom on August 2, 2014 Took a while to find the pick up points. Friendly helpful staff when we arrived. Mark was our tour guide and I think Carlos was the driver. Both brilliant on the yellow route. Very knowledgable. Samuel on the other route needs to remember he's a tour guide and not a comedian. We passed several buildings that mark had already described whereas Samuel was chatting about traffic and weather. Very good route. Easy to change to different ones to ensure you see the places you want. Well worth money
“Great way to see the city!”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Pembroke Pines, United States on July 31, 2014 We took the tour bus and it takes you all over the city to the biggest hotspots. You save on public transport which is not all that cheap in London when you're with a whole family. We then took the "Jack the ripper" tour with probably the nicest most enthusiastic tour guide. She was so informative and was open to all questions. That specific tour is a bit gruesome for kids and it's a walking tour so bring your walking shoes. All in all great experience.
“Great routes, tour guide decent, starting location was a nightmare”
Reviewed by Alyssa from Chicago, United States on June 27, 2014 I was only in London for the day so I thought taking a bus tour would be really easy, which is was! However, there was a concert going on at the start of the yellow tour and instead of e-mailing us a head of time, you showed up and had to figure out the adjusted location on your own. The first tour guide was just okay and the second was much better. Piece of advice, if you are looking for just the tour (not to hop on and off) I would just take a tour that does't stop.
“Too crowded and oversold to be enjoyable.”
Reviewed by James E. from Oxnard, United States on June 12, 2014 Hugely oversold. Nearly impossible to move from one hop on hop off point or connect from one route to another. Hop on bus only added to the massive traffic jams throughout the city.
Where live narration was available it was quite appropriately informational and enjoyable.
Automated narration was barely audible and impossible to keep the device in ear suitably.
On the other hand, we did see a lot and pass by most important London sites.
Thank you to the bus drivers who safely maneuvered us through the nearly impossible traffic.
“Excellent way to see sights of London”

“could not have been better gave us a great day out in London”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Chorley, United Kingdom on September 9, 2013 We used the yellow route bus and we only visited for the day but managed to see most of the sights, the guides were excellent and there was always someone at the stops to give help, the hop on hop off enabled us to visit many places and we enjoyed the boat ride from the Tower to the Embankmant and again the guide was great, a thoroughly enjoyable day out.

“Everything worked out. The buses didn't come often enough”
Reviewed by Christine from Katzenelnbogen, Germany on June 24, 2013 It was ok. However the buses for the German tour didn't come often enough. And the tour only goes to about 7 pm.
Reviewed by Jan from Holzwickede, Germany on June 23, 2013 The tour was very entertaining and well-organized. Downsides included the fact that a lot of the headphone connections didn't work, and the really intrusive staff who try to sell you extra tickets. However the tour offers a good opportunity to get to know the city.
“really recommend it for gaining a sense of orientation”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from sinsheim, Germany on June 18, 2013 it's really a plus that you can get on and off wherever you want. We saw so much. The boat ride was also very lovely.
Reviewed by Sybille from Berlin, Germany on June 17, 2013 We took a London tour. Everything went great there, we weren't sure going in if the vouchers we had purchased online and printed out would be accepted everywhere, but there weren't any problems. Even when we ended up on the English-language bus the young tour guide advised us in an extremely friendly way. Would be happy to go again!
