Reviewed by David from Afikim, Israel on June 5th, 2014 It was really nice to go through the city main attraction having some rest between the points.

  • Rating: 4 “A good tour of London, better on a warm day, not a cold Easter one!”

Reviewed by Ed from Harleston, United Kingdom on April 21st, 2014 Picking up the ticket was more difficult than expected, mainly because the pick-up centres were not as obvious as they could have been and they were under staffed for the Easter period. The tour itself was very informative although the audio guide was at times out of sync with what you could actually see. The music in between the parts of the guide became quite annoying and repetitive - I would just remove my ear-piece when it came on (typically when we were stuck in traffic!)

As part of the tour we took a boat ride down the Thames from Tower Bridge to the London Eye. This was with Thames Clippers who appeared to have the newest boats of all the operators. Despite the poor weather, it was a very comfortable trip although the rain meant it was difficult to see as much as we had hoped.

On a sunny weekend, this would have been an excellent choice, but the the cool Easter we have just had meant it was cold on the top of the bus. Still well worth doing and good value I would say

  • Rating: 4 “Good,useful, convenient.”

Reviewed by Neeta from Arcadia, United States on April 20th, 2014 Time saving and hassle free.

  • Rating: 3 “A good way to get a feel for the London Sights!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Ottawa, Canada on September 17th, 2013 Hop on and Hop off was fun, but a bit slow if you also wanted to use it to get anywhere in a reasonable amount of time.
The recorded tour voice was not timed to match the sights well enough, but the one time a human was doing the tour, it was great!

  • Rating: 5 “Excellent service both prior to booking (phone calls) and on tour”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Hatfield, United Kingdom on August 29th, 2013 I rang on a few occasions to get the exact information I wanted before booking a ticket. These were answered politely and accurately. The couriers in London were very helpful.

  • Rating: 3 “ok overall, at times you have to wait in really long lines, starts around 10 am”

Reviewed by Franz from Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany on July 22nd, 2013 very friendly and helpful staff, even if you're not a customer

  • Rating: 4 “the ideal starting point for sightseeing in London”

Reviewed by Carsten from Bad Emstal, Germany on July 16th, 2013 everything was great, only the departure times varied strongly, but the traffic's to blame for that

  • Rating: 3 “too complicated”

Reviewed by Rita from oetwil a.d.l, Switzerland on July 15th, 2013 I wouldn't do it again!

  • Rating: 4 “Ideal way to get to know a city”

Reviewed by Gunther from Winnenden, Germany on June 17th, 2013 Everything was very good, only the last ride is a bit early

  • Rating: 3 “unfortunately I've taken better bus tours (for example in New York)”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Mühlingen, Germany on June 9th, 2013 at times you couldn't understand what the guide was saying at all because he spoke too quietly, parts of this were really dispassionate. But by and large we'd recommend it for when you're visiting London for the first time, you get a great overview of the city.

  • Rating: 3 “The tour's ok if you don't want to get on or off.”

Reviewed by Rainer from Düren, Germany on May 22nd, 2013 Unfortunately this line doesn't come as often as the red line, but an advantage is that there's lots of room :)

  • Rating: 5 “We were overjoyed with the organization.”

Reviewed by Richard from Grafing, Germany on May 15th, 2013 We spent three days in London. All of the offers we took advantage of were one hundred percent as promised. We definitely recommend the provider. We got the documents for our trip two days after ordering them. Those travelling to London should definitely order tickets for the sights as well as the bus and underground in advance, since that makes your stay much easier. Thanks very much for your great offer and for your organization

  • Rating: 4 “An ideal way to gain an initial impression of a city!”

Reviewed by Roland from Urdorf, Switzerland on May 4th, 2013 The agents at the station were very courteous and helpful! Unfortunately during lunchtime we had to wait for almost 45 minutes for the next bus to come to the station.

  • Rating: 3 “So-so due to poor information”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Chicago, United States on May 2nd, 2013 Its difficult to find the bus stops if you don't get on where you got off. I wanted to walk around a bit so I tried to get to the next stop and it took me a really long time to find the stop, the map they gave me was very little help. The audio is pre-recorded and very minimal, also when we got stuck in traffic, it got out of sync to the sights.

  • Rating: 3 “friendly, helpful, but some of the bus stations are hard to find.”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Männedorf, Switzerland on April 23rd, 2013 Friendly and helpful service, not that many buses or other stops, so parts of it are confusing.

  • Rating: 2 “there aren't that many blue buses going around! It's hard to exchange the vouchers!”

Reviewed by PATRICIA from EUPEN, Belgium on April 15th, 2013 this company's buses only come every 15-30 minutes, they rarely stick to the provided times and the departure points listed on the voucher are incorrect; there isn't an office at Picadilly, even though on the voucher it says there is. The RED buses come all the time! There weren't any sales people to be seen on Friday, on Saturday you'd often see one at a stop. But before you've exchanged your voucher you don't get any kind of bus route map listing the stops and departure points. Despite what we were told on the phone, the family ticket that we booked online doesn't consist of a single ticket, we had to print out 4 more, so that everyone could have their own card and we could split up. The boat ride takes place on closed boats, it only includes one route, from the Tower to the London Eye and back again. And when you get there you have to exchange your ticket first, whereas all the other companies accept your ticket for the ride. But this is the ONLY place where you can book 48 hour tic

  • Rating: 2 “late, and on top of that too few buses, & on top of THAT technical problems”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Wolfsburg, Germany on April 15th, 2013 The buses came really late (which is forgivable, considering the traffic in London), and there just weren't enough buses in service. Once we got to a stop we'd have to wait (unfortunately) a very long time, while 3-4 buses on average from another bus company that offers this tour passed by, if we had gone with them we definitely would have gotten from A to B more quickly. Additionally at times there were technical problems on the buses (the recording wasn't working) and the recordings often failed to match up to the places where the buses happened to be at the time (I had much, much better experiences on tours in other cities).

  • Rating: 4 “Very good service with one exception.”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Ditzingen, Germany on April 11th, 2013 On the first day of our bus tour the employees at the company didn't exchange our ticket for a confirmation (because of time pressure?). That meant that we didn't get tickets for the boat ride at the harbor, so we had to go to the central station. There, we got our tickets and they apologized. The drivers were extremely friendly and helpful.

  • Rating: 4 “all right”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Borken, Germany on April 8th, 2013 There weren't any difficulties

  • Rating: 4 “went well”

Reviewed by Viktoria from wien, Austria on April 4th, 2013 When you've found the right starting place you're greeted and informed very nicely by one of the staff members. The bus driver himself also puts in a lot of effort and knows what's going on. The double announcements for the sights on the bus gets tiring: the driver speaks at the same time as the recorded description is playing, and that way you can't really hear either of them. When it's not nice out riding on the top is really cold and goes quickly. You get a nice overview of London's highlights.

  • Rating: 3 “Nice idea- however the execution can get complicated.”

Reviewed by Frauke from Dettingen, Germany on April 4th, 2013 It's best to just get on and remain seated! That way you see a lot of sights and you're guaranteed a seat (there aren't that many on top!) You can get off, but you might have to wait a long time to get back on again. Sometimes it takes forever for a bus to come. I really recommend the Thames ride, it goes great. You might want to make a copy of your confirmation since they don't print out tickets there! That way you have a record of the time you're supposed to go; you need a copy of that for the Thames ride. It's better to book on weekends, during the week there's often traffic.

  • Rating: 4 “Good”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Mainz-Kostheim, Germany on April 2nd, 2013 Everything went well, the staff were always friendly

  • Rating: 5 “great opportunity to get to know London”

Reviewed by Ulrike from Berlin, Germany on March 27th, 2013 What I liked best were the nice bus drivers and the helpers at the stations. Unfortunately for some of the tours there wasn't so much available and I got the feeling that the buses were driven far less frequently, but of course that could also have to do with the level of traffic. At the tower the ticket seller for the boat didn't know the company, but she gave us a ticket anyway (and this boat tour, with the fish 'n chips included, was the loveliest experience I had). Apparently you can use a 48h ticket to ride for 3 days too, so I'd recommend it.

  • Rating: 4 “Great opportunity to quickly learn your way around London.”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Gretzenbach, Switzerland on March 12th, 2013 Great opportunity to quickly learn your way around London.

  • Rating: 5 “You're the best, would love to go again, great service”

Reviewed by Marlene on March 3rd, 2013 Simply great.

  • Rating: 4 “Good information about each part of the city”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Wadern, Germany on February 19th, 2013 The information about each part of the city was nice and manageable. The descriptions of the individual buildings and the history behind them could have been more intensive. That part of the tour was better in Berlin.

  • Rating: 5 “First-class”

Reviewed by Petra from Berlin, Germany on February 18th, 2013 The getting on and off was a really great opportunity, we were absolutely thrilled

  • Rating: 3 “wouldn’t book it again...”

Reviewed by Caroline from Herzogenaurach, Germany on September 29th, 2012 The Golden Tour has a lot of stops, but not much info. You get headphones and you can select from many languages. But sadly you don't get much from it, most of the time there's just music playing. I recognised the Tower Bridge by myself on the right hand side, but the info on the bridge e.g. height, age etc. aren't added.

The guides were nice but couldn't really help any further.

The boat tour is trash, you only get to ride on a liner up the Themes, but you don't get any info and there's no real chance to sit outside.

    Price top, info a flop.
