What to Expect
Space Shuttle AtlantisSM at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex showcases the priceless spacecraft Atlantis and 30-year shuttle program with more than 60 interactive experiences.
The NASA bus tour offers a unique opportunity to glimpse the behind-the-scenes working of the space center, exploring startling views of the buildings, and launch pads. Continue onward to the Apollo/Saturn V Center, featuring the immense, fully-restored Saturn V rocket; the largest every built. Relive Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon and experience the thunderous rumble of the rocket's lift-off.
Additional attractions include Lunch with an Astronaut and the KSC Up-Close tour:
Lunch with an Astronaut
Listen to inspiring tales of space travel from a NASA space hero, and ask your own questions over a delicious meal. This daily program features a personalized presentation by a featured astronaut about living and working in the thermosphere, and includes photo opportunities with the astronaut.
At just short of 3 hours, this guided view of the center by tour specialists takes in the giant structures of the world's largest launch facility, including the coastal launch pads that unleashed enough power to land men on the moon and send space shuttles to the International Space Station. See where the monstrous rockets were assembled for launch, from the very first Saturn V to the more recent STS-135 Atlantis.
After your Kennedy Space Center Experience you will take an exhilarating airboat ride on the St. Johns River where you can see alligators, turtles, birds, and other animals in their natural environment.
