“Lots of waiting”
Reviewed by Stephan from Zürich, Switzerland on May 6th, 2013 You have to wait a long time for the bus, and you don't get ahead in the Istanbul traffic
“Really recommend taking a Hop-on/Hop-off tour.”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Berlin, Germany on April 26th, 2013 They took all the important sights into account. The descriptions were ok. Would go again anytime!
“After some initial difficulties...very good”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Kisdorf, Germany on April 25th, 2013 Absolutely recommend this for getting an initial overviw. Unfortunately our starting point was poorly marked. But the nice woman on the telephone led us to another meeting point over the phone and with the help of a city map, and she put in a lot of effort with us.
“good overview of the city”
Reviewed by Sigrid from Garbsen, Germany on April 19th, 2013 too little information at parts, and the music was confusing
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Murrumbeena, Australia on April 8th, 2013 I have been on many other hop on hop off city your buses in other cities which were great. This one has only been running a short time, and it shows. The information didn't match with the sights, the traffic made it almost impossible for the bus to move at times, and it was very disorganized.
“Hardly recommend it”
Reviewed by Klaus from Darmstadt, Germany on April 3rd, 2013 Waited for an extremely long time for the bus. Not a lot of information
“Tour provides a good overview”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Münster, Germany on April 3rd, 2013 The tour provides a good initial overview of the city. The tone in which the most interesting information is delivered isn't anything special, though.
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Sindelfingen, Germany on April 2nd, 2013 Great bus tour with lots of interesting sights
“Good loop of the important sites, but hop-on/off points hard to find.”
Reviewed by Stephen from Leander, Egypt on March 10th, 2013 I feel like the bus did make a good loop of some of the most obvious tourist sites in the city. At many of the sites though, even the ones marked on the map as normal stops, it was quite hard to spot where the bus would be stopping. Especially given that they only run every 45 or 60 minutes, it felt more like a riding tour than something where you could reasonably 'hop' from point to point.
“The can do better!”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Grevenbroich, Germany on February 18th, 2013 Unfortunately this was the worst Hop-On/Hop-Off tour I've ever taken. Under 'normal' traffic conditions you'd only need to use one hour for this two-hour tour. A two-hour route that lasts until 4 pm is just too long, and they don't show you the real attractions anyway. I'd advise against this tour. You can get to all the places by tram.
“Always recommend it for getting an overview of the city”
Reviewed by Véronique on November 25th, 2012 A city tour is always an interesting way of getting an initial overview of a city. In Istanbul you just have to take the highly chaotic traffic into account- however I'd still recommend this ride. Take note, though, that due to construction the meeting point is at Sultanamet instead of in front of the Agia Sophia!!
“Good as usual”
Reviewed by Erwin from München, Germany on November 14th, 2012 Ok for a city overview!
Sadly no visit to Mache inner city quarter
Canopy should be open on a nice day!
Otherwise: Mark 3
“Tour was ok”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Kamp-Lintfort, Germany on November 13th, 2012 After booking with this portal we got all the info really quickly. Unfortunately it came out on arrival that the description for the bus stop was very unclear. We had to walk around the area and search. The bus had to pick us up from the middle of the road.
Istanbul is really beautiful, the tour was pretty good.

“You should definitely do it at the start of your Istanbul visit”
Reviewed by Andrea from Potsdam, Germany on November 3rd, 2012 You get a good overview from this tour. Our hotel was really close to the leaving stop, so we found the bus quickly. The tour description in german was very informative, but we only caught everything the second time round. On the second way round we got out at two stops too, and getting back on was no problem. It was fun.
“The audo guide didn’t work.”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Zürich, Switzerland on November 2nd, 2012 For a first overview a good tour, sadly the audio guide at my seat didn't work. And if it did there were repeated problems with the signal.

Would have liked to have heard more about Istanbul, bit too much music. Good first overview for a first impression of the city.
“City tour of Istanbul: great!”
Reviewed by Gisela from Berlin, Germany on October 26th, 2012 Online booking for our group of 14 was trouble free. The city tour went through interesting parts of Istanbul (we didn't use the hop on/hop off and rode straight back to the starting point at Hagia Sophia.) The audio guide explanations were interesting and were well synchronised with the passing sights. The tour started on time. Groups should really be there half an hour early. I'm not sure if they keep reserved seats for a booked group city tour.
All in all we got a good overview of the city at the start of our 5 day trip. Sadly not all the headphones worked. So only 4 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!
“A great experience”

“It worked out really well.”
Reviewed by Josef from Rothenburg, Switzerland on October 7th, 2012 Uncomfortable headphones. Too many dates on the history of Istanbul. Lacking info on contemporary life.
Reviewed by Uwe from Düsseldorf, Germany on September 19th, 2012 Proximity to the harbour is an advantage. Other passengers are blatantly taken onto the bus on site when there's not enough room. Despite requests the bus didn't stop. There's a lot to see if you're not inside the bus behind the wall next to the stairs because it's so full.
“Good overview of Istanbul; Ideal to get to know the city”
Reviewed by Martin from Wien, Austria on September 8th, 2012 You get a good overview of the city, but there could be more stops. At the Chora museum stop there's no notice in which direction to go. It's hard to find from there.
“Good value for money”
Reviewed by Horst from Walkenried, Germany on July 8th, 2012 Lovely tour in lovely weather. A few more stops would have been better, especially near the cruise ship jetty. Same goes for the main station, more buses - so leaving every half an hour.
