  • Rating: 5 “Genova in a pretty comprehensive nutshell.”

Reviewed by Christian from Singapore, Singapore on September 20, 2014 I have to thank my guide for a wonderful two hours in Genoa. Even though I was the only English speaking participant in the group, she was ever patient to explain in detail the sights and sounds of Genoa to me. Being a History and Geography major, everything came to life again as her explanations juxtaposed what I saw. Join her if you happen to be there on Saturdays cause that could probably be the best and most unpretentious tour in town.

  • Rating: 5 “Great tour with Paola, she is friendly and loves her city.”

Reviewed by Maya from Berlin, Germany on July 24, 2014 The walking tour with Paola was a real pleasure. She was easy going and she knows all about Genoa and the surrounding areas. She gave me extra local tips and even invited me for a freshly made focaccia. Highly recommended.

  • Rating: 5 “Genoa walking tour”

Reviewed by BRIAN from BOGNOR REGIS, United Kingdom on May 28, 2014 Excellent tour - very informative. Taken at a slow pace which allowed time to absorb the surroundings and the historical facts. And not too big a group, so could hear what was being said, without the awful invasive microphones that other tour leaders used!

  • Rating: 5 “Essential to discover the medieval part of the city”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Berlin, Germany on May 19, 2014 Our guide, Anna, was very good! Her explanations were very helpful to understand what was the medieval part of Genoa. I particularly appreciated the small anecdotes about architectural details, Genovese rich families and antique shops.
I very much recommend this tour.

  • Rating: 5 “Excellent tour, tour guide, and operator.”

Reviewed by Edward from Thornhill, Canada on June 30, 2013 Our ship was delayed so our cab arrived at the tour office around 10:15am, and the tour had already departed at 10am, as scheduled. The lady at the office called the tour guide and walked us to catch up with the group. The tour guide briefed us on what we had missed before proceeding. The rest of the tour was very interesting as well. We actually later on took a hop-on-hop-off bus which could not pass by all the buildings on the walking tour, and we would not have appreciated what we saw without the explanations of our tour guide from the walking tour. This tour was conducted by very helpful and knowledgeable people who had turned an otherwise disappointing experience (missing the tour) into a truly enjoyable one for us.

  • Rating: 4 “Great value. Guide was very knowledgable.”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Windsor, Canada on June 22, 2013 We had a small group of only 5 people which made this tour very interactive. We would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in a quick review of many of the key landmarks and historic area. Allow extra time to go through the museums at the end.

  • Rating: 5 “Excellent visit with charming guide”

Reviewed by Julien from LE CANNET, France on April 23, 2013 Our guide was Vittoria Albi. This Genova- born guide shared some well-hidden historical secrets with us, along with some hints and addresses to make our stay even lovelier, and all this in a friendly atmosphere. I would warmly recommend her!

  • Rating: 5 “Anna was very knowledgeable and really made the tour great.”

Reviewed by Marc from Jupiter, United States on January 1, 2013 We had a little trouble finding the tour's start. Once we found it, we were glad we did. There were only the first in my family. We felt like we were getting a very personal tour of Genoa. I would recommend the walking tour of Genoa.

  • Rating: 5 “A wonderful informative good value experience.Paula was superb”

Reviewed by David from Newland Malvern, United Kingdom on September 18, 2012 I would certainly recommend this walking tour. The guide, Paula, was superb being cheerful and informative. There were 7 and a half on our tour ( 7 +11 month old baby) compared to over 60 on a ship's tour. It was excellent value since the tour includes entrance to up to three museums. If we are in Genoa again we definitely will take this tour.
One bit of advice the Tourist Guide office is located in a small black building near to the Aquarium. If arriving by ship stay on the water side and walk to the aquarium. If you want a beer choose one of the bars in the old town NOT the aquarium area.
This really was a FIRST CLASS tour.

  • Rating: 4 “Knowledgeable guide gave us an insider's view of the city!”

Reviewed by Paul from Valencia, United States on August 21, 2012 An excellent tour! Up close and personal look at Genoa. Our guide had grown up there so knew the place like the back of her hand. She spoke great English and walked us through the maze of narrow streets and alleyways, and told the stories of numerous piazzas, churches, palaces and other buildings that make Genoa so historically significant. Really a fun and informative way to see the city.

  • Rating: 4 “Good background on the city. Fantastic that it included Palace tickets”

Reviewed by Amelia from Alfords Point, Australia on August 14, 2012 I thought this tour would have been better if they split the English and the Italian speakers. It was a bit annoying having to wait for the information to be delivered in both languages. The tour gave a good overview of the city and went to the main sites. It was great that included in the price was tickets to Rolli palaces. Great introduction to the city.

  • Rating: 5 “Anna, our guide, was knowledgeable, fun, entertaining and professional”

Reviewed by Dana from Easton, United States on August 12, 2012 I would highly recommend the walking tour of Genoa. The pace was leisurely (there are many steep hills to climb) and all of our questions were answered. The first week of August is very quite in the city as locals are on holiday and many shops/restaurants were closed. An amazing city brought to life via our guide, Anna. Thank You

Il faudrait peut-être avoir la possibilité ensuite d'un guidage plus approfondi dans ces mêmes lieux . Nous avons été contentes de cette visite, notre guide nous a donné envie de mieux connaître Gênes.
