This was the most fun we had on our whole cruise. It was easy to meet up with our guide at Senor Frogs, and we enjoyed his information about the island as he drove us to the beach. Brice was very professional and did a great job getting us to the location, providing us with the snorkel gear, and keeping an eye on our belongings as we were out snorkeling. As others commented you do have to swim out a ways to get to the reef, but it is all fun and not a big deal if you are a decent swimmer. We liked the fact that this is a more secluded beach and only a couple dozen people were there. There is a concession stand available as well where you can get fresh conch if you like and drinks too. A perfect afternoon of snorkeling and laying on the beach!

Good to Know
Sharina was the driver for the tour that day and took us to Paradise Beach for our excursion of snorkeling and sunbathing. Paradise Cove was really lovely, all the folks working there were wonderful, and the beach was beautiful. Unfortunately, the wind was really kicking up that day, so snorkeling was out and swimming was "at your own risk". But no worries! We had a wonderful time relaxing on the beach and having a few beers. Sharina asked if we'd like to shop instead of getting beaten by the sand, so we did. She also took us past the brewery to buy a few beers. She really made our trip enjoyable - she let us ask her all manner of questions about the islands which helped our understanding of Bahamian people and life, but how the tourism industry is impacting the islands. I know our tour is probably a lot different from others, but even if the weather is unpleasant, there is still so much to do in Freeport! Thank you, Sharina!
Because the ship I sailed on (Carnival Magic) kept their clocks on central time throughout the cruise and docked at 9:00am eastern time but the ship's clock was docked at 8:00 central time, I had to spend $8(international call) to confirm from this company what time I was going to be picked up. The shore excursion was to begin at 9:00 eastern time. Anyway the company was quite good in their service but the beach itself was nothing to write home about. I was reminded 3 times by the beach staff that they worked on tips, which was all they seemed to care about. On a scale of 1 to 10, the transportation service gets a 10,the beach a 7 and the beach staff a 5.
People were very friendly and willing to share information. They took good care of us. Van was old but adequate. Driver, Cap't Jack, gave us much info about the surroundings as we traveled to the water. Snorkeling equipment was good. The instructors were as helpful as we needed them to be. One down side. It took a while to swim the distance to the reef where the fish were and time off the cruise ship was short. Good trip for moderate to strong swimmers.
Nako is really a taxi driver. Just go to paradise island yourself its cheaper and easier. The owner of the beach and reef is really great.
