Enjoy an unforgettable day in Tuscany! Visit the charming medieval towns of Siena, San Gimignano and Monteriggioni and discover the beauty of the Chianti countryside landscape. This tour features delicious local wines.
First, you will cross the beautiful Chianti hills as you ride south from Florence in an air-conditioned GT Coach. You will arrive at San Gimignano, a medieval town declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. San Gimignano is famous for its white wine, the world-renowned Vernaccia, and its skyscrapers! Take time to wind your way through the narrow streets and admire the landscape.
Your tour will make its second stop in Siena. Here you will find the Piazza del Campo, famous for the Palio Horse Race and for its splendid examples of Gothic civic architecture. You can also visit the magnificent Palazzo Pubblico with its Torre del Mangia.
Continuing south, the tour will make a stop in Monteriggioni, where the medieval city walls remain intact. The main piazza, the Piazza Roma, is the perfect place to savor the history of the town and relive the atmosphere of olden times - while enjoying a well-earned ice-cream!
Finally, the tour heads to the Chianti area, where you will enjoy postcard-perfect landscapes. Conclude your day at a famous wine estate where you can taste fine Chianti red wine along with homemade snacks.

“Decent but a bit rushed”
Reviewed by Nadine from Edgware, United Kingdom on August 14th, 2014 This is an ambitious trip and is good if like me you only have one day and want to visit all these places. However, I do think that the timing could have been managed a bit better. In particular, I think too little time was given to Monteriggioni - just 20 minutes! Granted, it is a tiny place, but there are a quite a few interesting shops and a museum to see; even 15 minutes longer would have sufficed. The situation was similar in San Gimignano. On the other hand, a lot of time was spent in Siena. Aside from the timing issues, it was a nice trip with knowledgeable and multilingual guides that were very helpful, and efficient transportation (although it did get a bit hot on the bus). The group was rather large but this wasn't much of a problem as we were given a lot of free time to walk around independently. The group did mainly consist of families and couples, so as a lone 20 year old I did feel a bit out of place. The wine tasting was a nice experience, but not amazing.
“The best combonation and value for money you can get in Florence”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Zurich, Switzerland on July 23rd, 2014 The tour was simply amazing, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see the Tuscany area in less than 10 hrs with a knowledgeable guide (Anna) and a wonderful wine tasting experience at the end of the tour.
The only thing was that the tour guide had to translate everything she said into French and Spanish, which was annoying a bit as people who booked the tour should have understood this was an English tour.
“An amazing trip with fantastic scenery”
Reviewed by Daniel from Solna, Sweden on July 21st, 2014 This was an amazing trip which took us to several little picturesque villages in the Tuscan countryside and ended with a very nice wine-tasting at a Chianti winery. I whole-heartedly recommend this trip !
“Too short to be true”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Singapore, Singapore on May 29th, 2014 Everything in the guide was great except the guide in Siena, which was just an brief walk to stadium, an explanation of what happened there. Then a walk to a cathedral and guide in it and that's all.
Reviewed by Abigail from Cospicua, Malta on August 4th, 2013 Our tour leader was really great and gave us a lot of information. It is really worth visiting, all three towns are amazing.
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Sucy en Brie, France on July 21st, 2013 Very good organisation with a lovely guide named Serena. She takes care of everybody. We had free time in Monterrigioni and San Gimignano and another local guide for Sienna. The lunch was simple but nice. The wine tasting was very good too. We really spent a lovely day.
Reviewed by Julieta from Buenos Aires, Argentina on January 6th, 2013 We enjoyed it very much. Thank you!
“Gen good although a bit rushed”

“Very lovely tour around Tuscany, led in a friendly and professional way!”
Reviewed by Nadine from Berlin, Germany on August 18th, 2012 It was a challenge to take this trip, which leads you through what must be some of the loveliest places in Tuscany, in August, but it's really full of beautiful sights. Siena is like a dream and absolutely worth the trip. There's a good balance between free time and scheduled activities. The one tiny thing I'd mention is that the visit to the vineyard may have been announced in a way that was a bit too grandiose- the vineyard is actually a very small and clearly laid-out establishment, and there weren't any wine tasting area or snack bar (however, that had to do with the low cost of the tour). However that part of the day is still lovely and informative, so I'd say this experience is worthy of grand praise!

“The best guided tour ever!”
Reviewed by Gerald from San Gwann, Malta on April 16th, 2012 We booked this tour through the internet with some misgivings as all the tours seemed to have 'amazing' and 'fantastic' included in their itinery description. Yet this was truly an amazing tour with our fantastic guide Emmanuela and 'Speedy Gonzalez' Massimiliano. Emi was very knowlegeable about the entire area and was a very nice person to get acquainted with. Massimiliano was also a very pleasant person. The only damper on our day out was the weather because it was raining. This, however, did not succeed to ruin the day for us. Truly, truly a fantastic tour worth every cent! This tour was 11 hours long and very intense. We flew to Bologna and took a train to Florence on Friday purposely to take this tour on Saturday 14th. April because then on Sunday we took the train back to Bologna and flew back home. So, our main purpose for travelling was to take this tour and we were not disappointed!
“La guía era muy mala.”
Reviewed by Daniel from Santiago, Chile on July 29th, 2014 La guía no hablaba el idioma español de forma fluida (el tour se ofrecía en español). Las explicaciones de la guía eran muy escasas más allá de las indicaciones logísticas del tour. En la visita a la degustación en la toscana, la guía le indicó a la persona del lugar que hiciera la explicación solo en ingles, siendo que la persona le ofreció hacerlo en diversos idiomas.
No se mostró para nada empática con el grupo.
