Sailing & Snorkeling - Catamaran to Icacos Island Area
Set sail in the beautiful Caribbean waters and take in the views of the Fajardo coastline
Spend the afternoon under the sun and in the water as you snorkel and swim in the Icacos Island area
Indulge in a buffet-style lunch with specialty drinks like piña colada and tropical rum punch
Set sail in the beautiful Caribbean waters on the dock of a 62 Catamaran. Sit back and enjoy the vivid views of the Fajardo coastline and prepare yourself for 5 hours of sightseeing, snorkeling, and swimming at Icacos, followed by a special buffet lunch.
Set sail in the morning from Puerto del Rey Marina, the largest and best-kept marina in the Caribbean. On board the catamaran's deck you will enjoy beautiful views of the mountains in the El Yunque National Forest, as well as the beaches along the Fajardo coastline.
After a comfortable sail of about 45 minutes, you will anchor at one of the small deserted islands and cays off the northeast coast of Puerto Rico. Normally it is the island of Icacos, but the captain will sometimes head to Palominito, Cayo Lobo, or Palominos if the conditions and snorkeling are better for the day.
Once you arrive, step off into shallow water and spend the next 2 hours walking on the beach, beachcombing, and swimming in the crystal clear waters. You may also opt to snorkel, and a crew member will assist you with instruction on how to use the gear.
Return on board for a buffet-style lunch full of all-you-can-eat fruits, fresh-baked breads, sliced deli meats, cheeses, tuna salad, gourmet pasta salad, coleslaw, chips, and cookies. Sodas, water, and juices are also available, and those with a taste for the sweeter things in life will want to sample the specialty piña coladas and tropical rum punch.
When you have eaten your fill, the boat will head a short distance out and anchor over the reef for another 1 or 2 hours of snorkeling. A leisurely sail back to Marina Puerto del Rey will bring you back to the dock at 15:30, with plenty of time to enjoy your afternoon and evening in Fajardo.

Reviewed by Maria from Annandale, United States on April 25th, 2014 It was so easy to book online. Customer service was accomodating and even sent someone to pick us up at our hotel last minute-- we called at 9:30 pm the night before the trip and they were able to come the next morning to get us- no problem. There was an abundance of food and drink the whole trip. Staff was professional and lots of fun!! Would do that again without a doubt! Thanks for a really great time!!!!!
“A very worthwhile trip!”
Reviewed by Marc from Gilbert, United States on April 22nd, 2014 The east wind catamaran trip is well worth it. Captain Ismail and Levi and the crew are fun while experts at their vessel. Very knowledgable, safe, great food, rum drinks, snorkeling and music. A very good experience that everyone should have!

“fantastic, relaxing, well-organized, safe, and great fun”
Reviewed by Jacqueline from Birmingham, United States on March 24th, 2014 A beautiful day on a lovely catamaran. Even tho parking was a challenge b/c of a boat show, East WInds excursions had an organized system in place, and we were able to board the ship and join the fun. Plenty of shade AND sun, great opportunities for swimming and snorkeling in beautiful, clear water, lots of comfortable seating and delicious food and drinks (all the rum drinks a person can handle). The weather was great, the crew enthusiastic and clearly competent and intent on passengers having a great (and safe) time. Everyone from kids to older passengers (my mom was 87 and even she got into the water) was accomodated, and it sure seems like everyone had a riot. Would certainly do again. My thanks!
“A trip worth taking, probably twice!”
Reviewed by Brianna from Washington, United States on March 4th, 2014 This trip was so much fun. I had never been snorkeling before and I felt right at home and very comfortable. The drinks were delicious (strong) but I was surprised there were so many little children aboard. I guess my friends and I had been under the impression that it was more "adult" oriented since it was advertised as open bar. But all the same, it was soooo much fun! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a day trip. Reapply the sunblock though, we all got burnt even though we put a bunch on! Lunch was really yummy too!
“Excellent crew was awesome!”
Reviewed by Hector from Lindenhurst, United States on February 22nd, 2014 Had the best time on the boat. The crew Wilmer and Juliana were the best so attentive and so nice. They worked so hard to make sure everyone had a great time. We were happy to give the crew a substantial tip. I wish everyone on board would have felt the same way. People the tip jar is there for a reason. Don't forget to tip the crew. They worked hard for you. Will definitely join the crew again on our next trip to PR. thanks for a great memorable time.

“Very relaxing day in the sun, great way to end a vacation.”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Regina, Canada on January 27th, 2013 Had a great time, the crew took very good care of you. One thing that could have been different is that when the people went snorkeling there was no one from the crew in the water with them. I have been on tours like this before and they always had at least one or two of the crew snorkeling with the people.
“Very nice staff - Had a great time.”
Reviewed by Steven from Fredericksburg, United States on January 21st, 2013 My only recommendation is to require floating devices. I ran in to a little trouble with water in my tube but my daughter was there to help me get some air otherwise may have been a big problem.
