Admission to the interior of St. Patrick’s Cathedral is included in the price of the tour. Children, up to age of 16 years, can join the walk for free but will need to pay the EUR 4 entrance fee to the cathedral. There is also an optional escorted visit to the Guinness Storehouse available.
• Entrance to St. Patrick's Cathedral (EUR 5.50 value)
Good to Know:
Please try to book the tour at least 4-6 hours in advance to allow the local supplier time to arrange for an extra guide if the group is large.
Tours operate regardless of the weather. Anyway, it doesn’t rain that often in Dublin!

“OK tour, disappointed that it was not the same person as advertised”

Reviewed by Charlot from Maldegem, Belgium on March 21st, 2013 I had a good guide and it gives a good idea of what the city has to offer.
Unfortunately I missed a couple of juicy facts and hidden corners :-)
“Very informative and enjoyable tour!”
Reviewed by Gina from Calgary, Canada on March 20th, 2013 Enjoyed the history lesson and the side stories that Pauline provided all along the walk. Her knowledge of dublin's history and St Patrick mythology was very worthwhile.
“It was informative with interesting and surprising information”
Reviewed by Bobby from dublin, Ireland on March 19th, 2013 I thoroughly enjoyed seeing and hearing about places which are buildings which i pass every working day.
The origins of St Patrick and the suggestion that he had worked in Mayo as well as Antrim was novel for me . His Latin name was great to hear.
“Very interesting and entertaining.”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Paris, France on March 18th, 2013 It was a good walk with interesting stories, well worth the money. The only thing was the mention of historical events that people may not have been familar with. Coming from an Irish studies background, I knew about those but am not sure that the other members of the group knew the ins and outs of the Easter Rising, for instance.
“Great tour for tourists or people new to the city!”
Reviewed by Susanne from Dublin, Ireland on March 17th, 2013 I enjoyed the tour, but had done already some sightseeing in Dublin before, so I didn't learn too much new. It was basically a city tour with mentioning of St Patrick a few times. I would have liked a bit more stories etc around St Patrick. People were also very helpful when I faced some stairs during the tour with my buggy.
“Both Informative and entertaining tour!”
Reviewed by Sven from Frankfurt, Germany on April 28th, 2012 Decided to join this tour to get some background on St. Patrick and his work and it was definitely a walk worth taking! Pat Liddy did a great job as a tour guide, provided a lot of information but also lots of entertaining anecdotes. Highly recommended and I will gladly do another tour when back in Dublin!
Reviewed by Kevin from dublin, Ireland on March 28th, 2012 The lady guide was excellent, knowledgable, amusing and informative. Have already recommended this tour to family and friends.
“Very informative, mixed with humor.”
Reviewed by Britta from Berlin, Germany on March 28th, 2012 I enjoyed the tour very much. The only sad thing was that it rained the whole time. Therefore I must say I cut if short, when the guide mentioned that we were close to the famous collection of books (forgot the name of the collector at the moment) which by far is more outstanding than the book of Kells (guide). This made me leave the tour and the rain and be in awe of the wonderful collection. But I must say that everybody in the tourist office was very helpful and nice.
“Volumes of Info and very pleasant walk”

“Well worth our time and euros!”
Reviewed by Emmanuel from Dallas, United States on March 20th, 2012 A great way to learn about St. Patrick, but even more about the deep history of Dublin. Our guide, "Doogie" was a charming and extremely knowledgeable man. His voice was strong and he was very articulate and had a great mix of fact, legend, and humor! Advertised at 2 hours, 15 minutes, we did go a bit past 3 hours which made for some tired feet! A lovely way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon in Dublin.
“Excellent, learned alot about old Dublin.”
Reviewed by Pat from dublin, Ireland on March 20th, 2012 Exceellent, for such a short walk learned alot about Dublin i never knew, and Pauline our guide was like google she knew everything.
“Fascinating history, beautiful buildings and a good overview”
Reviewed by Luke from Launceston, Australia on March 18th, 2012 On the day we had our tour,it was wet and cold and very busy as it was St Patrick's weekend. We arrived having pre-purchased our tickets, but had to talk to someone out the front who had to give you a receipt for the entry to St Patrick's Cathedral. This person was very overwhelmed, taking purchases for the tour as well as giving out these receipts. This meant that we missed going on a tour with a more elderly gentleman, and ended up going with a more younger fellow.
It was a good tour, very interesting and good to hear the history behind the legend. It felt a bit rushed however and it seemed as our guide was trying to hurry up the tour along. This was evidenced at the end of the tour where he dropped us off at the cathedral and went on his way, where I noticed that the previous guide kept showing around his attendees.
But nevertheless, it was a great tour and I would recommend it.
