Spend an evening in the desert of Dubai on a thrilling safari! Go 4WD dune bashing, see a desert sunset, take a camel ride, enjoy live entertainment, and feast on a barbecue buffet dinner in a friendly Bedouin camp.

Description:

Get ready for an evening adventure in the desert, starting from Dubai! Departing from your city hotel, drive through golden sand dunes deep into the heart of the desert. On arrival at the Bedouin camp, you will receive a traditional Arabian welcome, with an offering of Arabic coffee, tea, and tender dates. Enjoy the authentic Arabian ambiance at this typical camp, with traditional carpets, low tables, and cushions for comfortable seating.

Having settled in, take a thrilling camel ride into the dunes, or challenge yourself to a sand-boarding adventure. Mark your visit with a traditional Henna hand painting, or simply enjoy the aromatic sheesha pipe under a canopy of stars.

Enjoy snacks and unlimited water and soft drinks before the sumptuous main buffet dinner, where you will get to feast on a wide variety of barbecued meats, salads, entrees, and desserts.

  • Rating: 4 “Very good”

Reviewed by Irene from lawerenceville, United States on July 12th, 2014 I really enjoyed this experience. The only thing I didn't like was the food and the dance was horrible as well. Buy the sand dune was everything I hoped it would be. Oh another thing I didn't like was I and my bf were at the very back which made coming in and out very difficult.

  • Rating: 5 “An absolutely wonderful experience for us!”

Reviewed by Judy & Neil from Teesdale, Australia on July 7th, 2014 Would recommend people of all ages to participate. A real variety of experiences.

  • Rating: 5 “An evening worth a thousand words!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Helsingborg, Sweden on July 5th, 2014 Firstly, when you book the Evening, make sure you book it with hotel transport - much easier that way!
The sand duning is incredible, they litteraly glide on sand with a few bumps. Thats just because you're going up and down the sand dunes. If you like rollercoasters, this will be the time of your life. If you dont, it might get a little scary but the experience is worth it! We asked if they ever had any accidents and they all said no, so that was comforting!

When you arrive to their camp, they let you ride on a camel which is a great experience! Then you go on to the camp and sit on cushions with small tables, first you get some snacks and beverages, after the snacks are served, they let you sink it in, and then the buffet is served which is incredible with all kinds of food, fruit and desserts and at the same time the entertaintment begins!

Overall it was a great experience - I would recommend it to everyone!

  • Rating: 5 “The Ultimate Desert Experience!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Berrien Springs, United States on July 5th, 2014 The evening desert safari was our first experience in Dubai.
It was different of anything we have experienced before. The ride, the dinner, the dances.
We highly recommend this adventure to anyone that has an adventuresome spirit.

  • Rating: 4 “Wonderful!”

Reviewed by Diane from Steyning, United Kingdom on June 12th, 2014 An amazing experience which was exciting from start to finish. The 4x4 drive was brilliant leaving me thankful I was still alive! Did the optional dune buggying which I would highly recommend. After all the adrenalin activities it was nice to relax and watch the evening entertainment, whilst eating some delicious grub :)

  • Rating: 5 “Fantastic day and wonderful evening”

Reviewed by Samra from London, United Kingdom on May 18th, 2014 We had a good time our driver was very entertaining and funny the safari was good as well lots of stalls and nice programme only one negative point was the food it was not good at all not quality food only lots of different dishes but no dish was tasty rest was super

  • Rating: 4 “Good experience”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Thamesmead, United Kingdom on May 9th, 2014 I thought it was a well organised experience. Hotel pick up and drop off, free unlimited drinks (including soft drinks) and the Dune bashing was really cool - it almost felt like being on a rollercoaster ride. The buffett was generous as well.
I would've loved a longer camel ride and you do have to be conscious you don't end up spending all your cash on the different wares and other stuff on sale in the Bedouin camp we were at. Either way I'll definitely be recommending this to anyone going to Dubai

  • Rating: 5 “Fun and Exciting Day”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Edmonton London, United Kingdom on April 26th, 2014 Great experience, and enjoyed the day, plenty of laughs, especially the Dune drive in the desert. The Camel ride could of been longer, it was just a ride around in a circle, which lasted 2 minutes... Great food and entertainment, but all ended to quickly.
One negative , wish our tour guide/driver spoke and kept us update with what was happening...

  • Rating: 3 “Nice experience in the desert”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Cugnasco, Switzerland on April 23rd, 2014 The first part of the trip was very good.
It was very nice to drive in the desert, beautiful landscapes!
The second part was in a camp where we had also dinner, and the other activities.
It was possible to ride the camel outside the camp, but it was just for a few meters ride, it's ok for Kids maybe to try it once.
Sandboard as well outside the camp, just a small dune where we could slide down.
Dinner was ok, and Show was nice.

  • Rating: 3 “A safari is a must in Dubai - just with a different company”

Reviewed by Anda from Bucharest, Romania on May 14th, 2013 This was my second safari so I can compare - Was just ok, 4x4 sand driving was great, the driver was really good ( its shaking the hell out of you driving on the dunes :)) location ok, free camel ride - where you spend a lot on the queue, the food nearly enough for everybody to have A bite. Many people couldn't get the snack before the dinner, the henna painting is great, the drinks were expensive, only one free refreshment drink at dinner and no other on the stops. The belly dancer, the dancing Skirt Man and another comic dance worth the money.

  • Rating: 3 “The tour itself was good, the driver didn't seem at all interested”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Steinach, Switzerland on May 12th, 2013 We had to send a message asking what time we'd be picked up. They were supposed to get in touch with us. The driver wasn't very friendly. The other drivers explained the route, but we only saw ours at the beginning and at the the end.

  • Rating: 3 “Worth doing”

Reviewed by Quazi from Surry Hills, Australia on March 5th, 2013 Our tour operator was called 'Dadabhai'. They picked us up from our hotel on advised time on a Land Cruiser. Seven people in the car including the driver. Then they took us to a tyre pressure adjustment point near the start of the sand driving. At this point we had to change cars with a different driver. Our driver was quite skilled at sand dune driving, he was leading a caravan of land cruisers from Dadabhaitravel. But he was also a bit annoying because he was on his mobile phone most of the time dealing with personal stuffs, both on the way to the dunes and on the way back to the city.

The dune driving was exciting. The camel ride was short and limited to a small area. The food was average and we had to que long for it. The people serving the food were not very professional. The sand boarding was not that exciting as the slope was not steep and long enough.

Overall, I think desert safari is worth the time and money at least once.

  • Rating: 3 “uninspiring”

Reviewed by Robert from Hamilton, Canada on February 23rd, 2013 Disappointed in garbage left in desert sand. The ride was exciting. It would have been nice to see more than 2 camels. The entertainment was sub par the food was acceptable

  • Rating: 5 “This was a great excursion to attend.”

Reviewed by Donna from McDonough, United States on January 2nd, 2013 This was sooooo much fun!! I would advise not to eat too much before going on the venture. I've never gotten motion sickness before, but I did while riding the sand dunes -just a word of caution. You should still go!

  • Rating: 4 “amazing”

  • Rating: 5 “Exciting, terrifying, interesting, just do it!”

Reviewed by Jason from London, United Kingdom on November 4th, 2012 Our driver was Barhardi (Ali), he was engaging, interesting, well informed, funny and an outstandingly skilled driver. He arrived early for the pick up, explained what would be happening and then drove us out into the desert, to the place for the quad biking and buggies, went straight to the front of the queue for us and organised our dune buggy, which was superb.

Then drove us into the desert for the dune safari, it was amazing, I did not know you can get those jeeps over so far on one side with out tipping, up and down enormous dunes and rescuing another stuck jeep, all while running the music at a deafening volume and laughing hysterically.

We then drove to the camp for the camel rides and then BBQ and entertainment, whirling dervish, belly dancer etc all good fun, loads of pictures loads of amazing memories and our 6 year old son loved ever minute of it.

A great trip made even better by Bahardi

  • Rating: 3 “Too commercial”

Reviewed by Alexandra from Victoria, Canada on October 26th, 2012 I did this tour 10 years ago with a different operator and it was much better. The 4x4ing was awesome, but don't count on the camel ride and the henna did not stick very well. On top of it, it was very rushed. However my hat goes off to the performers - belly dancer and traditional dancer.

  • Rating: 3 “Dune Bashing - Excellent”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Dalkeith, United Kingdom on October 19th, 2012 Didn't get off to a great start as our confirmation told us to go to one hotel and yet arrangements had been made to pick us up from our own hotel but we didn't know that - so a wasted taxi fare!
The 4WD dune bashing was brilliant - like being on a roller coaster ride at the funfair. The drivers are excellent and you are in safe hands. This is by far the best part of the trip.
The camel ride is not really a ride, in reality they put two of you on a camel to get your photo taken and walk you round in a circle - takes about a minute!
If you wanted to have a hanna tattoo you would be waiting forever as there is only one person doing them and there's a hundred or so people for the BBQ dinner.
The meal is what you would expect but there is a bar, so you can get a drink, which was a pleasant surprise.
A good way to spend five hours and would recommend it for the dune bashing alone.
