Reviewed by Neil from Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom on January 5th, 2014 Door to door excellent service with Rikah as our guide. All the family from aged 4 upwards had a brilliant time. The dune bashing and the camel rides will be our best memories. And the desert was so beautiful.

“A safari is a must in Dubai - just with a different company”
Reviewed by Anda from Bucharest, Romania on May 14th, 2013 This was my second safari so I can compare - Was just ok, 4x4 sand driving was great, the driver was really good ( its shaking the hell out of you driving on the dunes :)) location ok, free camel ride - where you spend a lot on the queue, the food nearly enough for everybody to have A bite. Many people couldn't get the snack before the dinner, the henna painting is great, the drinks were expensive, only one free refreshment drink at dinner and no other on the stops. The belly dancer, the dancing Skirt Man and another comic dance worth the money.
“The tour itself was good, the driver didn't seem at all interested”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Steinach, Switzerland on May 12th, 2013 We had to send a message asking what time we'd be picked up. They were supposed to get in touch with us. The driver wasn't very friendly. The other drivers explained the route, but we only saw ours at the beginning and at the the end.
“Great guide, lots of fun, great tour”

Reviewed by Quazi from Surry Hills, Australia on March 5th, 2013 Our tour operator was called 'Dadabhai'. They picked us up from our hotel on advised time on a Land Cruiser. Seven people in the car including the driver. Then they took us to a tyre pressure adjustment point near the start of the sand driving. At this point we had to change cars with a different driver. Our driver was quite skilled at sand dune driving, he was leading a caravan of land cruisers from Dadabhaitravel. But he was also a bit annoying because he was on his mobile phone most of the time dealing with personal stuffs, both on the way to the dunes and on the way back to the city.
The dune driving was exciting. The camel ride was short and limited to a small area. The food was average and we had to que long for it. The people serving the food were not very professional. The sand boarding was not that exciting as the slope was not steep and long enough.
Overall, I think desert safari is worth the time and money at least once.
Reviewed by Robert from Hamilton, Canada on February 23rd, 2013 Disappointed in garbage left in desert sand. The ride was exciting. It would have been nice to see more than 2 camels. The entertainment was sub par the food was acceptable
“This was a great excursion to attend.”
Reviewed by Donna from McDonough, United States on January 2nd, 2013 This was sooooo much fun!! I would advise not to eat too much before going on the venture. I've never gotten motion sickness before, but I did while riding the sand dunes -just a word of caution. You should still go!

“Exciting, terrifying, interesting, just do it!”
Reviewed by Jason from London, United Kingdom on November 4th, 2012 Our driver was Barhardi (Ali), he was engaging, interesting, well informed, funny and an outstandingly skilled driver. He arrived early for the pick up, explained what would be happening and then drove us out into the desert, to the place for the quad biking and buggies, went straight to the front of the queue for us and organised our dune buggy, which was superb.
Then drove us into the desert for the dune safari, it was amazing, I did not know you can get those jeeps over so far on one side with out tipping, up and down enormous dunes and rescuing another stuck jeep, all while running the music at a deafening volume and laughing hysterically.
We then drove to the camp for the camel rides and then BBQ and entertainment, whirling dervish, belly dancer etc all good fun, loads of pictures loads of amazing memories and our 6 year old son loved ever minute of it.
A great trip made even better by Bahardi
Reviewed by Alexandra from Victoria, Canada on October 26th, 2012 I did this tour 10 years ago with a different operator and it was much better. The 4x4ing was awesome, but don't count on the camel ride and the henna did not stick very well. On top of it, it was very rushed. However my hat goes off to the performers - belly dancer and traditional dancer.
“Dune Bashing - Excellent”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Dalkeith, United Kingdom on October 19th, 2012 Didn't get off to a great start as our confirmation told us to go to one hotel and yet arrangements had been made to pick us up from our own hotel but we didn't know that - so a wasted taxi fare!
The 4WD dune bashing was brilliant - like being on a roller coaster ride at the funfair. The drivers are excellent and you are in safe hands. This is by far the best part of the trip.
The camel ride is not really a ride, in reality they put two of you on a camel to get your photo taken and walk you round in a circle - takes about a minute!
If you wanted to have a hanna tattoo you would be waiting forever as there is only one person doing them and there's a hundred or so people for the BBQ dinner.
The meal is what you would expect but there is a bar, so you can get a drink, which was a pleasant surprise.
A good way to spend five hours and would recommend it for the dune bashing alone.

We'll take this tour again next time we take a trip, and we'll definitely choose Abbas as our driver again :) definitely recommend it!!!
“Lovely desert tour, unfortunately a bit overpriced, better to book on location”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Köln, Germany on September 26th, 2012 We thought it'd be cheaper to book a desert tour in advance and compared the prices online- they all seemed similar. So we paid 56 Euro per person for a 6 hour tour. Once you're there in the hotel you can even book the same provider (Aldadabhai) and get the same thing for only 150 Dirham, or 30 Euro. The Jeep ride through the desert was also very impressive, as was the food at the end and the belly dancing show in the small Bedouin village in the middle of the desert. They also included a camel ride, however all you got to do was get on, ride around once in a circle and then get back off again, I didn't think that was a lot. My boyfriend definitely wanted to try sandboarding, unfortunately there were only two boards available, one was defective and the hills were unfortunately too flat, or not steep enough to ride on properly, and that was rather disappointing. However the food was really delicious and everything else was really impressive. It's worth it when you book on location.
“Really great experience”
Reviewed by Markus from Blaustein, Germany on September 17th, 2012 The desert tour was indescribably good. We were picked up as agreed upon and met the other Safari participants at a central location. Since we spent some time driving around, the driver described Dubai a bit for us. Once we got to the meeting point we were all able to get off before the tour started. The tour itself was great- even though the dune ride upset a few stomachs. Once we arrived at our destination we could go on camel rides, sandboards, quad rides (for a small fee), smoke a water pipe or get a henna tattoo. The food was really delicious, varied, and there was a ton of it. The show (belly dancing, fire show and a show dance) was really entertaining. We went back around 8:30, so we were back in the hotel at 10 pm. This tour was a real adventure. Really recommend it!
“Memorable experience, would recommend it to anyone.”
Reviewed by Timothy from Brierley Hill, United Kingdom on September 11th, 2012 What a fantastic evening. We were collected from our hotel and taken out into the Dubai desert. The driver was very competent at driving off road and entertaining us all as well. The evening entertainment in the bedouin camp was very authentic. We would recommend this experience to anyone who visits this vibrant country...
Reviewed by Mike from Weil der Stadt, Germany on September 4th, 2012 The tour was very lovely, the driver put in a lot of effort. We could have spent more time to enjoy all the nice things at the camp, but everything was really great. I'd love to take a tour like this again.

Reviewed by Timo from Gieboldehausen, Germany on August 22nd, 2012 But then it was nice to ride a quad in the desert
“An unforgettable experience”
Reviewed by Sascha from Salem, Germany on August 19th, 2012 You've got to take part in this ride, it's a really unique experience, but the camp on the other hand is kind of touristy, but the delicious food/buffet made up for that.
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Koeln, Germany on August 19th, 2012 When you've got enough time for it, this is a cool experience that you should take part it. You're not driving across a desert- instead of that, outside of the city there's a large (many square km) terrain where you can ride around on the off-road vehicles, and where they've built a 'Bedouin village'. But it's really entertaining.
