The KD Rhine Pass makes it possible for you to spend a romantic day in Germany on board any of the attractive KD day cruise ships that sail on the Rhine and Moselle rivers.
There’s no need to commit to a particular route in advance. The Rhine Pass offers you the flexibility of enjoying the Rhine Valley and its many castles, vineyards, and more. This is much better than rail travel, as you’ll experience the scenic wonder of the Rhine Valley from the best vantage point – the river itself!
Your Rhine Pass is valid on all scheduled KD day cruises that sail between Cologne and Mainz, as well as on the Moselle River between Koblenz and Cochen, with the exception of the special theme cruises.

“A Good Day Out on the Rhine”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from YORK, United Kingdom on August 28th, 2013 I bought a day ticket, on line, for the cruise which allows you to go anywhere on the Rhine. But starting from Cologne does not give you any real options - just the one long distance trip starting at 9.30. I went to Linz - arriving at 14.50 and started back from there at 16.50 reaching Cologne at 20.00.
Linz itself is very attractive -with lots of places to eat and drink! Worth a two hour visit. Many others got off at Konigwinter - another town attractive to tourists.
The boat itself is comfortable - and on a dull Monday - was not crowded. Again, lots to eat and drink. I had two hot meals; a lunchtime special and the leek and potato soup. Both were excellent and well priced. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The downside? It looked as though I could have bought the ticket a lot cheaper on the day- particularly as I could have got a 'senior' discount.
“Wasnt what i was told when i booked it but ended up really good!!”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from PERTH, Australia on August 26th, 2013 The cruise in the end was AMAZING!!!! The only downfall was, i was told a completely different story about the cruise.....as i was so excited to travel with my partner as it was a suprise..all the way down the rhine river hop on hop off as we were told.....on the day this was a different story...there was only ONE boat! Once you got off...there wasnt another till hours later...Would have been ok if we had more then a day....In the end we only saw the first couple of stops and had to go back...the cruise itself was AMAZING!!!!! Would have just been nice to know the important details...
Reviewed by Jakes from 0157, South Africa on August 11th, 2013 Once we got the train travel from Frankfurt out of the way, the embarkation went smoothly. The cruise was really a relaxing experience with some of the most beautiful landscapes and towns graciously sliding past.
Remember if you find the upper deck to hot, try the lounges on the lower level, they are nicely air-conditioned and comfortable.
We embarked at Bingen , disembarked at St Goar ( fascinating town) and took the Paddle Wheel Ship(same ticket was valid) back to Rudesheim(lovely old town for curios & lunch) and back to FFurt by train. It was a day well spent.
Dont forget to start early( first boat leaves 08h45 from Mainz ) so you can visit the towns without a rush.
“amazing scenery, great service from on-board staff.”
Reviewed by Barbara from Toronto, Canada on July 14th, 2013 A trip on the Rhine river has always been on my bucket list - not only can I cross it off, I can truly say it was one of the most enjoyable 12 hrs I have spent on a trip. Scenery was superb, as was the narration by the on-board staff.
Reviewed by Debra from Shoreham, United Kingdom on June 10th, 2013 Having arrived at the Rhine during the floods, we were pleasantly surprised to find that KD had restored service on their boats the day we arrived. We ended up having a great day with KD's efficient and friendly service and would recommend it to anyone visiting this area.

Sonst - einfach ausgezeichnet: Kapitän, Service, jedwede Leistung.
