Overview:

Skip the long admission lines and treat yourself to an exhilarating view over the whole of Chicago from the top of the Willis Tower. Ride 103 floors to the Skydeck and step out onto The Ledge, a glass-paneled box with vertical views to the ground below.

Description:

Enjoy an unrivaled view over the city of Chicago on a trip up the city's Willis Tower. This famous building, once known as the Sears Tower, is not only home to a Skydeck on the 103rd floor, but it also features The Ledge, a series of 4 glass-paneled boxes that extend out from the building's facade to give visitors a view straight down.

As you wind through the ground levels of the Willis Tower, you will be surrounded by museum-quality exhibits highlighting the iconic tower. Learn about Chicago's rich history and culture through these informative visuals.

Watch a video presentation, "Reaching for the Sky," where you will be briefed on the history of the building and of architecture in Chicago. Then step into your elevator and you will be amazed at how quickly it ascends. As you travel, your multimedia-equipped elevator will inform you about your vertical progress.

Upon reaching the 103rd floor, step out onto the Skydeck, which offers views spanning over 50 miles and across 4 states. Then summon your courage to step out onto The Ledge, a glass balcony that hangs over the edge, for vertigo-inducing views 1,353 feet (about 412 meters) straight down to the city below!

What's Included:

• Museum-quality exhibits
• Theater presentation
• Access to The Ledge
• Skip-the-line and express entry to security if you choose the Fast Pass option

  • Rating: 3 “Badly organised”

Reviewed by ALAN from STEVENAGE, United Kingdom on August 7, 2014 When you get to the Willis Tower there is only 1 queue, I prebooked my tickets to save time. Once inside you are able to queue jump but having only 1 queue outside added about 15 minutes to the experience. Once on the Sky Deck you need people to monitor how long people were spending on the ledge as some had no though about those waiting and were taking loads and loads of photos and spending up to 10 minutes.

  • Rating: 4 “I saved time”

Reviewed by Alberto from Modena, Italy on July 9, 2014 I could follow the fastpass owner path, but before queuing for the elevator (on the fastpass queue), I had to exchange the voucher for a real ticket at the ticket desk.
It was somewhat embarassing because there was no queue or special window for this purpose, so I had to take a window near my side before people in the regular queue could take it.

  • Rating: 4 “It was really helpful to skip the line and get on the phased approach”

Reviewed by Vinoth from Edina, United States on June 3, 2014 It was really helpful to skip the long line during Memorial day weekend. One thing we noticed they said it is a voucher and we still need to get the ticket. Where if we had the Chicago pass, they were just letting them go. If that could be fixed, this will be the best option to visit Willis tower irrespective of the busiest week that we choose.

  • Rating: 5 “Awsome”

Reviewed by Richard from North Wales, United States on May 19, 2014 The view off of the deck was simply awsome, we plan on visiting again at different times of the day.

  • Rating: 5 “A great experience!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Chicago, United States on August 24, 2012 I was able to go straight to the thicket booth with my printed receipt from the website and I received my tickets. From the Skydeck I was able to see the beautiful city of Chicago! I took my boyfriend there for the first time and he loved it!! A great place to go if you're a tourist or even a native of Chicago!

  • Rating: 5 “An absolute must see experience!”

Reviewed by Andrew from Newport News, United States on June 24, 2012 Time of day will affect photo ops and glare (from the floor) for photos. One might wonder why it was decided that all four ledges would be on the same side, as opposed to one facing each direction. All in all, still an awesome experience and a MUST see!!

  • Rating: 5 “Pre-purchased Fast Pass tickets are the way to go!”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Eden prairie, United States on June 4, 2012 Got to the Sears Tower (Willis Tower) only to find there was a 1 hour and 10 minute wait to go to the observation deck. Saw a big "FAST PASS" arrow painted on the wall and went to the front of the line to ask how to get the tix. Attendant said we needed to pre-purchase on-line so we ordered tickets on our phone, skipped the line, and were at the observation deck in less than 15 minutes. HIGHLY recommend pre-booking your tickets for this tour.
