Join paranormal authors Geordie Buxton and Ed Macy on this unique tour. Get thoroughly spooked as we tell of a series of mysterious hauntings – from orphan poltergeists to a lost cadet inside the old citadel to an angelic reverend, and many more!

"There is only one essential ingredient in a ghost story: death." So say Charlestonians Ed Macy and Geordie Buxton in their introduction to their book about the haunted streets of Charleston.

By rambling through the oft-forgotten enclaves of the Holy City, the paranormal authors bring guests face to face with a group of orphans who haunt a dorm of a Charleston College, a Citadel cadet who haunts a local hotel, and an angelic spirit in a Scottish Presbyterian graveyard, to name just a few.

We will hear tales of a bookstore phantom, notorious for rearranging books in perfect vertical stacks, and a gruesome 19th century amputation taking place in a medical student’s apartment. This tour is not for the faint-hearted!

Based on historical events and specific details that are often lost in our general notion of ghosts, each haunting encounter will send chills down your spine.

  • Rating: 5 “Nice history with a”

Reviewed by Shane – Huntsville, United States on March 24, 2015 Interesting and well delivered tour. It is not meant to be scary, some folks always complain about that. The tour gives great history of Charleston with a supernatural, haunted, ghost flavored twist. Went inside a graveyard as well as a local building. Concentrated from Marion plaza/Calhoun Street North, which is great because many of the regular history tours are City Market and the French Quarter. Recommend all the way.

  • Rating: 5 “Ghost in the Graveyard”

Reviewed by Victor – Summerville, United States on March 24, 2015 We were hoping to see a ghost on this tour!!! =) Jordy our tour guide was most excellent in story telling ... made it enjoyable on a rainy night.

Will definitely be bringing out of town visitors to this tour.

  • Rating: 4 “A”

Reviewed by William – Charleston, United States on January 12, 2015 As a Charleston resident, this was my first tour of anything in the city. I took a new resident on yalls tour (for a 2nd date) after her saying she'd done a Yorktown ghost walk. We both enjoyed the tour. The guide seemed to be very well informed, to be expected since he is an author of books on the subject. He was also effective at telling the story and immersing the audience into the story. I feel the tour could be enhanced by obtaining permission to cut some/all lights off in areas where it is reasonable to so so. This would help heighten the intangible spooky factor that people would like to experience on a ghost walk. I'm not saying I want a guide to trick the audience, but make it more conducive to forgetting you are also in the present day busy city. Overall enjoyed it, will recommend others to do it and will probably go on another sometime
