Your tour begins with a trip to Ephesus, once one of the largest and certainly one of the most important ports in the Mediterranean. Ephesus was one of the twelve cities of the Ionian League during the Classical Greek era. Later on, it was an important Roman city with a population of over 250,000 in the 1st century B.C.

The stone paved main street through the center of the city has rows of shops each side, and it's easy to imagine the days when Anthony and Cleopatra walked on the same stones. Other breathtaking sights include the Library of Celsius, Temple of Artemis, Temple of Hadrian, Theater and Odeon.

After exploring Ephesus, you will depart for Pamukkale, driving through several towns and villages on the way to get a feel for modern-day Turkey.
