  • Rating: 3 “Good, but not for all the people recommendable”

Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Hofheim Am Taunus, Germany on June 9th, 2014 Was easy to pick up the card, tho the sad thing is, that you can only pick it up at several selected spots f.e. the Hauptbahnhof but not the ZOB, where I arrived, tho they also sell the cards there so I had to pay 2,60 € just to get to the Hauptbahnhof and then pick up my card. Since I had to drive to the Hauptbahnhof I also had to travel much longer than usual (50 mins instead of 25) so I can only recommend it if you arrive at Hauptbahnhof. if you arrive at the ZOB I suggest you to buy it at the DB Service Shop next to Messe Nord/ICC

  • Rating: 5 “Great value, would definitely recommend”

Reviewed by Debbie from Cardiff, United Kingdom on May 29th, 2014 This little card was a godsend when recently travelling in. Berlin with my husband and 2 children. We used public transport to get around the whole city, and made sure we tried all forms of transport including the tram. I did not count up the savings we made on travel alone, but we also received discounts in attractions we visited, which was great. My only bug bear was that 2 tickets had to be purchased as one only covers an adult and up to 3 children. It would be nice if a card covered travel for 2 adults and up to three children, even if the price was the same as 2 tickets.

  • Rating: 4 “Best bargain to visit Berlin”

Reviewed by Reto from Horgen, Switzerland on July 4th, 2013 Of course you can not visit all the places and events which were listed in the Guidebook. We mainly gained from cheaper entries in Zoo, museums or %age in Tourist shop when buying presents. Sometimes it was sufficient to show the Guidebook only for other cases, we had to show the ticket too.
I really can recommend that WelcomeCard to all visitors of Berlin.

  • Rating: 5 “Berlin Welcome Card - Excellent Investment”

Reviewed by Roy from Minting, United Kingdom on September 30th, 2012 My wife and I bought Berlin Welcome cards for our recent 5 day stay in the city. It was an excellent investment. Once validated the card enabled us to jump on any type of public transport ('bus, tram, S or U bahn) without having to buy individual tickets or worry when we found ourselves going the wrong way on the U bahn!

  • Rating: 4 “Value for money obviously depends on how much you use it.”

Reviewed by Irene from Ipswich, United Kingdom on September 1st, 2012 The card value was more the convenience of being able to hop on transport without having to worry about whether you had the correct ticket. Having said that our tickets were only checked once on our way back to the airport - however risking a 40 euro fine each time is not worth it. We bought the cards online before our holiday but found, once in Berlin, that all main sights were within walking distance for us as we do enjoy walking (approx 3 or 4 miles). However as we also travelled to Sachsenhausen and Potsdam and with the reduced prices into many attractions we probably got our money's worth.
We would probably buy it again if in Berlin however feel that a 7 day option for the Welcome Card would be good.

  • Rating: 4 “A very helpful Package”

Reviewed by Teresa from SHREWSBURY, United Kingdom on August 18th, 2012 For me one of the benefits of the free transportation was that I did not need to worry about getting on a train in the wrong direction, I could easily change trains and get to my destination. Also I did not have to fiddle about with unfamiliar money at the ticket machines.
When I found I had a bit of unexpected time I could hop on a bus and have a look at the surrounding areas. Having poor eyesight I would have liked the train route map to have been even bigger as I found the small coloured writing that gave the number of the U Bahn route impossible to read. It was easy to find the opening times and to get discount at the zoo etc. I was very happy with the package.

  • Rating: 5 “The item you need if you are using the good public transport!”

Reviewed by Cor from Montfoort, Netherlands on June 23rd, 2012 I was with a group of 7 in Berlin. I prebooked the Berlin Welcome Card ABC for two days.
Mind it's most clever to present your voucher directly at the REWE shop at the Tegel airport. It isn't clear where to find this shop (this could be better!!). The airport information helps you further! You get a complimentary booklet with city plan of Berlin. All the discounts (and they are many!) are listed there. My group doesn't use public transportation ever! They were pleasantly surprised how well it went and how good things are explaned. Only difficulty is that you can't see clearly when you have to take an "U" or at an "S"!

  • Rating: 5 “A must have for all visitors to Berlin”

Reviewed by David from BIRMINGHAM, United Kingdom on March 29th, 2012 Having the card made our travelling around the city so easy, including to and from the airport. The discounts from various attractions was an added bonus. We used the 5 day card for our 4 day stay and still got value for money. Strongly recommend this card.

  • Rating: 4 “Excellent value for money”

Reviewed by JUANITA from ESSEX, United Kingdom on March 27th, 2012 You must get this, it saves you lots of money and time. Only thing we should have been told is that it must be activated. Unless you stand at the airport (or pick up point) and read the book given to you, up to at least page 15 it is not obvious it has to be activated, and was not told to do this.
