Alaska Bear Viewing at Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park gives you the world famous views of Grizzly Bears catching wild salmon as they stand atop a waterfall. There is no picture quite like it, let Regal Air take you there!
Your Katmai Bear Viewing Adventure Begins when you depart Anchorage on an aircraft and fly south along the Cook Inlet. This scenic flight takes you on a route by 2 active volcanoes, numerous salmon streams, and glaciers along your way. Fly through the Lake Clark Pass, a mountain pass used by bush pilots for years to get back and forth across the Alaska Range. Look for sheep on the mountain sides!
Landing at Katmai you begin to see why Brown Bears choose to make this place their home. Soak up the picturesque surroundings; salmon streams, mountain backdrops, large lakes, and thick forests. You will go through a quick bear orientation with one of the park rangers before heading off to explore this bear country. Walk through the park to a bear viewing platform, and enjoy watching the bears catching salmon as they make their way up the Brook Falls. After you spend a few hours bear viewing, you will be served with a hearty packed lunch, and then it is back out to catch these bears in action.
