Dig for gold at the historic Crow Creek Gold Mine and experience Alaska in the late 1800s. You’ll drive down scenic Turnagain Arm on the way to the mine. This is a great experience to share with family and friends!

Description:

On this 5-hour fully-guided tour you’ll start out with a drive down photogenic Turnagain Arm, where you’ll enjoy fantastic views of the mountain scenery and Cook’s Inlet.

Once you have reached Girdwood, Alaska you’ll take the back route up Crow Creek Road to Crow Creek Mine. You’ll see historic buildings here dating to the late 1800s, including miners’ cabins and equipment that was used in the old hydraulic placer mine.

You’ll have a chance to meet real gold prospector families, and take a walk through the gardens to the creek to try your hand at prospecting. Your experienced guide will demonstrate the basic panning methods and then teach you more tricks of the trade in the hopes of finding gold in the creek!

This mining adventure is great fun for all ages.
