“When in Amsterdam... one must bike”
Reviewed by Cheryl from Goodlettsville, United States on June 16th, 2014 You better have your wits about you when hopping on a bike in Amsterdam. The locals are nuts and make sport of running the touring bikers off the road. "Yellow Bike Tours" has typical bikes for the area, but my family found them difficult to maneuver and control... even my 6ft husband. My teenage girls and I are all around 5 ft and the bikes were really cumbersome for us.
I wish the tour had been more informative as I don't know any more about the city today than I did before I went on the tour. On the bright side, I can now say I survived biking in Amsterdam and I did get to see (and smell) many sites of the city in a timely fashion (even the red light district and numerous "coffee shops" legally selling and burning cannibas).
As far as "Yellow Bike" goes, they are a good company and their bikes were in good repair. Our tour guide was very kind and spoke English well. I would recommend the tour with reservation to others.
Reviewed by Deepanjan from Glandore, Australia on July 8th, 2013 The tour was very good. It gave a very good overview of Amsterdam. Our tour guide Martha was excellent. I wish the weather was slightly better but overall it was an excellent way to explore Amsterdam.
“Wonderfull overal view of the city.”
Reviewed by Michel from Quebec, Canada on July 3rd, 2013 We had an excellent guide that guided us in French! The experience was wonderful. We received pertinent information about the city and tip about what to do.
“Really nice- would love to go again. It would have been nice to have gotten a bit more info.”
Reviewed by Heiko from Düsseldorf, Germany on May 21st, 2013 Nice guide, always did a good job keeping us together.
“We had a ton of fun, even though it was raining.”
Reviewed by Joachim from Stuttgart, Germany on May 19th, 2013 Touring a city by bike is super fun, so long as the terrain is flat like it was here! The streets were covered in rain, and even though there were tons of bike riders everything was totally stress free (and we aren't bike experts by any means). We had booked a German tour, it was much easier for our guide to speak English. But it wasn't a problem.
“Very good organization and a very professional guide”
Reviewed by Rudolf from Feldkirchen, Austria on May 13th, 2013 We were really satisfied with the organization and really recommend the yellow bikes
“The tour was very informative and it was a lot of fun.”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Bad Bramstedt, Germany on May 8th, 2013 The tour was in German, the guide did a good job safely leading us through the city's turmoil.
“Our tour was very exciting and interesting. Everybody should do it!”
Reviewed by a GetYourGuide Customer from Merenschwand, Switzerland on May 8th, 2013 The tour was very nice and interesting. Our German Guide did it the first time in this language. We helped him with some difficult words:) We missed more details about the history from the nearest time. Over all very interesting but he could explain more!
“Was really good and entertaining, they do a good job describing Amsterdam”
Reviewed by Kurt from Hamm/Westf, Germany on May 2nd, 2013 Everything was perfect.
“a lovely experience!”
Reviewed by Claudia from Ravensburg, Germany on September 26th, 2012 we booked a German-language bike sightseeing tour for 11 people 4 weeks in advance. The bikes were waiting for us at 2 pm, and our guide Emma was friendly and well-versed in all things Amsterdam. Even though weather conditions were unstable, and we got stuck in more than one rain shower, that didn't take away from this lovely experience. Especially thanks to the fact that Yellow Bike provided equipment for the rain.
“The tour was comprehensive and very informative, really recommend it”

“The tour completely fulfilled our expectations, the guide was excellent.”
Reviewed by Erwin from Wilhelmshaven, Germany on September 5th, 2012 The tour offers a good overview of the old city, and that's exactly what we wanted. The guide's explanations were good and easy to understand.
Reviewed by Claudia from Waldsolms, Germany on August 27th, 2012 We got there 2 minutes too late and our German group had already left, with the help of a reservation they could have checked who was there and who hadn't yet come and maybe they would have then waited for the necessary 5 minutes. We then had to go with the English group, the guide spoke passable German so we were able to make do.

“Great bike tour of Amsterdam!”
Reviewed by Lisa from Twinsburg, United States on July 12th, 2012 I'm an American touring Europe. The bike tour was fun & informative. Biking is a wonderful way to see much of the city in a short timeframe. Just watch out for the motorbikes in the same lane. Arthur was our guide. He spoke very good English & gave the tour in a personal & interesting manner! Thanks again Arthur!
“This was a very informative tour with a nice guide”
Reviewed by Karin from Speyer, Germany on July 1st, 2012 saw and experienced a lot. We could pose as many questions as we wanted and the tour took us through lots of different areas. Recommend it
“Good opportunity to get an initial overview!”
Reviewed by Roswitha from Rösrath, Germany on June 27th, 2012 We got really lucky with the weather (even though we would have been provided with rain coats if it'd been raining). The organization went well, even though there were a to of people there who wanted to take a tour. The bikes were all good. There were 12 of us in our group, but the very nice guide was very attentive, and singled out one person in the group as a tail light so that nobody would get left behind and always waited until everyone was there. The route was easy to conquer, the tour was informative, precisely enough to get a first overview. The three hour tour also included a 20-minute pause in the park. At the end everyone was very satisfied! Small excitement: even when you've already seen a lot by bike- a boat tour of the canals is a nice addition! That way you can see a lot more from another perspective!
“The tour was very interesting, I'd definitely do it again!”
Reviewed by Eva from Wien, Austria on June 11th, 2012 Our guide was friendly and took care to describe everything to us! Unfortunately my English isn't very good, so I would have liked to have had more in German! Despite that, thanks for the tour and thanks for the nice woman who took us through Amsterdam!
“The tour could take place in german, due to poor language skills”
Reviewed by Susanne from Welzheim, Germany on June 11th, 2012 The presentation was booked for german language. The guide couldn't do it though. English was a bit better, but if one of the group didn't speak english then that's no good. But also for me, and I speak good english, the english presentation wasn't fluid and was lacking essential knowledge about the city, and the way of presenting was boring and lacking pizzazz.
The only positive thing was the bikes, which were in good condition.
“We were pleased and would book again with Yellow Bike”
Reviewed by Monika from Lingen / Ems, Germany on May 23rd, 2012 Good bikes, a guide who spoke good German, an informative tour--unfortunately the tour was too fast and there were too few stops for photographs
“Nice guide, booked in German, tour in Dutch”
Reviewed by Dorothea from Weimar, Germany, Germany on May 20th, 2012 Aside from us, the entire group was Dutch, so the tour was led in Dutch and occasionally in English. Although we two Germans couldn't get all the information, it was fresh and spontaneous for us to listen to the Dutch language!
We would gladly bike through Amsterdam again

“Great tour, good bikes, friendly guide.”
Reviewed by Jonas from Stolberg, Germany on September 1st, 2011 All in all it was a great experience to see Amsterdam by bike. The guide was super nice, his program and discriptions were however a little average (but definitely not bad). The only flaw was the time management at the meeting point. It took almost 45 minutes until we had our bikes and were riding.
“A great bike tour”
Reviewed by Iris from 42799, Germany on July 12th, 2011 The reservation is made online and I received a quick answer to my questions. Due to two cases of illness we had to cancel two tickets pretty short notice and on site I was notified that I would be reimbursed for those two tickets that I had booked via credit card. We had booked the tours in German. Tim was our guide and he spoke excellent German and English (we has 3 Canadians on tour with us). The bikes were all in good condition and easy to handle. In a group of 8 we biked through Amsterdam. We saw nice parts of the city and 80% of the tour were on save bike paths, but when passing through the red light district it got pretty crowded. Great, nice ride through Amsterdam with a nice guide, what more do want? We liked the tour very much and would book again with yellow bike.
“We liked it very much.”
