Our guide was very informative. The traffic however was really crazy ( Friday afternoon and Sail 2015) so it was really crowded and somewhere even dangerous. But overall impression of the tour is very good despite all that.
Easy going guide, who was extreamly friendly and knowledgable. The pace was easy going and gave us a real chance to enjoy the sights, once we got used to the back pedal breaking system. Extreamly enjoyable!
The weather was awful, cold and pelting it down with rain. Nevertheless, it didn't stop us we had a great tour. Our tour guide was fantastic, full of energy and entertaining. The stop for a drink in a traditional dutch cafe was all the better for giving us respite from the weather. We have done a shorter bike tour with yellow bikes before and I intend to do another one next time I visit.
You better have your wits about you when hopping on a bike in Amsterdam. The locals are nuts and make sport of running the touring bikers off the road. "Yellow Bike Tours" has typical bikes for the area, but my family found them difficult to maneuver and control... even my 6ft husband. My teenage girls and I are all around 5 ft and the bikes were really cumbersome for us. I wish the tour had been more informative as I don't know any more about the city today than I did before I went on the tour. On the bright side, I can now say I survived biking in Amsterdam and I did get to see (and smell) many sites of the city in a timely fashion (even the red light district and numerous "coffee shops" legally selling and burning cannibas). As far as "Yellow Bike" goes, they are a good company and their bikes were in good repair. Our tour guide was very kind and spoke English well. I would recommend the tour with reservation to others.
