Barbados: Tour of Harrison's Cave & Hunte's Gardens

1. Barbados: Tour of Harrison's Cave & Hunte's Gardens

Harrisons Cave is described by the Barbados Tourism Encyclopedia as one of the Seven Wonders of Barbados. First, see an amazing gallery of stalactites hanging from the roof of the cave, and stalagmites that emerge from the ground that have formed over hundreds of years. You will journey through the cave in a tram car and see beautiful pools, streams, and waterfalls along the way. This is a natural wonder and not to be missed. From there you will journey to the magnificent Hunte’s Botanical Gardens. You will meander along the pathways and find many surprises amongst the lush tropical plants. The rare exotic foliage grows densely in this landscaped gully and hidden amongst them are antiques and other beautiful decorative pieces. You just might spot the occasional bird or animal who love the place as much as you will - it is truly an enchanting experience. Lastly, you will be served refreshments and take in a scenic view of the Barbados landscape.

It's difficult to explain level of appreciation and gratitude we (my husband and I) have to the folks at Terrvette Tours and Taxi service. We booked a customized tour in which I had no idea where to go. Our tour guide Yvette (known to me as Barbados Mom) recommended some places that made the experience amazing. She is such a welcoming and pleasant person. She pick us up at our hotel which made me feel safe as I was telling her my initial experience getting to my hotel and she assured me that after the tour I would totally forget about it, which I did. She treated us as her kids which ofcourse we enjoyed, as we went along the tour she showed us places to go for food and how to travel around the area we stayed. This made our entire trip easier to navigate. I truly recommend if your looking to tour Barbados go with Terrvette tours and taxi service. My Barbados Mom will take great care of you. I'm definitely going back Barbados to tour more places with Terrvette Tours and Taxi Service.

Loved the combination of the two quite diverse activities. Very well organised and felt we got a lot of fascinating additional info about the island. Caves are incredible and gardens very beautiful and tranquil.

Yvette was a very competent and friendly guide and a safe driver. I can only recommend this extraordinary private Barbados Island tour.

The driver was friendly and was able to go with the time extension that we ended up needing. The booker was nice and informative

Yvette was an awesome guide. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable, and made sure we made the most of the four hours.
